Reina Seriously! When the ball goes back there is there a guy on a playstation just drops the ****ing control!!
Our defence is suicidal, not sure I buy this pass/dink your way out of trouble at the back or the constant long passes/switches that go right across our goal. Rule No. 1 as I was coached as a junior was never pass the ball across the face of your own goal! We started positively and if we can play like that for the majority I reckon we could steal it but we're prone to spells were we make them look like AC Milan. Suarez is so isolated up front, no connectivity between the mid and him, only one option up front and no second forward to move their defence around more and create space.
You would have thought the 8 teams coming down from the Champ League would play 8 of the runners up from the group stage. Then the 4 best winners of the group play the remaining 4 runners up. Then the remaining 8 winners would play against each other? Or maybe that would make too much sense for UEFA?
Why the nerves? We're as good as out so have nothing to lose! I'll start getting nerves if we get two more without reply
Ok, seems that only 4 teams from Champions League are seeded, basically depending on how many points they had in their CL group. Zenit had 5th highest points from the 8 so were unseeded.
That is because you were brought up in England where kicking the ball upfield as fast as possible is the plan for all age groups, which is exactly why you don't find technically gifted English players who are comfortable on the ball. Go watch some young Spanish/Dutch kids play football and this is what they do from 5 years old because yes they may mistakes that cost goals but at that age group who cares? Because in 15 years time they'll be comfortable doing it and have experience and be able to do it well.
