At the risk of boring everyone who's already heard this.
I grew up just off Goodison Road. My dad and uncle were blues, the first game they took me to was the first derby in the '62-'63 season. Liverpool's first year back out of the doldrums. They just assumed I'd follow them to support Everton, who had been the far superior side for a long while.
As I was a contrary little sod I went for the underdog, and, as luck would have it........
    Never looked back.

saint, there is always a moment in the affairs of man and yours came at that match. Though it must be gruelling for the Blues to have been hanging onto our coattails ever since <ok>

Well I think it's safe to say that you could never be labelled as a glory hunter mate.

Nice story......****e decision, but still a nice story :)

I know, you've got loads of them, it's a pre-requisite of being a kop standing red to own one isn't it?

Ferguson - the devil? nah, that's like calling Shankley or Paisley mate, not having that. Whatever you might think of their club, or the man himself, you've got to respect his footballing achievements in the same way the afore mentioned are respected - even by me ;)

Alright. He's an incubus. Shankley and Paisley were respected as much for their approach as their results. He's a great manager but a twat of a person. They weren't. Busby was a different matter - true gent, great manager, ex-Liverpool skipper <laugh>
