The closest I ever got to anything like that was in the 70's when I occasionally wore my scarves (I had 2) round my wrists at away matches, but that was when I was a naughty boy!
I'd piss myself if someone wearing a Tiger Onesie kicked off with the coppers. I can't believe people wear them at the match or at anytime ever, they're ****ing awful things.
You can understand kids of, say, upto adolescence wearing them, but for anyone older, it's just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO inappropriate!
Ha ha ha brilliant...well he's got more time on his hands rather than female presenters breasts or admin girls bottoms in his hands...(allegedly)
I wonder if one of the members on here is looking at that picture thinking "**** that's me, do I 'fess up or not?" It's not me by the way. No really, it's not.
I wouldn't choose to dress like that but I don't understand the reaction to those that do. They're clearly passionate fans, who are happy to have a laugh at themselves. Where's the harm? Plus, that photo reinforces the fact that we're not a bunch of thugs, pissed up, mouthing off and pretending to invite fighting. Would you prefer the club to be represented by those sorts of "supporters"? The photo's used in the HDM are more of the older fans with blankets types, does that bother some of you too?
Despite my tongue in cheek post above I agree with this entirely. It's not how I'd go to a match (City shirt and scarf normally) but each to their own, support the club however you want.
I sort of agree with HC. It's liked Mauled by the Tigers really isn't it? Clearly a joke, I wouldn't do it myself but daft costumes at football matches is relatively common and nothing new. It always happens at meaningless end of season games for some reason. Surely we all realise it's a piss take rather than them actully thinking it looks good?
I dunno which is worse the Tiger Onesie costing £15 from Primark or the one the club sells for £30.
I find it ironic that some people are prepared to go to games looking like that and then don't say a dickie-bird during games and tell others to stop shouting, as happens in the West Stand. I don't dress like that, I like a pint before games and I'm loud as fcuk during games. Does that make me a "pissed up, mouthing off and pretending to invite fighting, thug"? There's room for all sorts and all types at football matches but I find adults dressing themselves up as if they are kids an embarrassment. Can you imaging such people producing this kind of inspiring spectacle? Because I can't! We'll never get close to support like this for cultural reasons but we are a million miles away from this and we should be A LOT, LOT CLOSER!! There was a Polish lad in E3 in the Barnsley league match back in November, and he alone made more noise than anybody around us, until he got escorted out by the coppers. Apparently he was smoking a spliff in the toilets at half time, but that might be a rumour.
