Ok to continue the tongue in cheek banter...

Why would we want a Premiership player with all that young talent out there. Still at 34 <yikes> he is at the very least the right aged player for MA <whistle>

We shouldn't even think about it, another washed up ex premiership player looking for a final pay day. :emoticon-0105-wink::emoticon-0105-wink::emoticon-0105-wink:

No better than we have already got. Moron! He is still like in the top 10-20 players in the premier. He is still one of englands key players. I dont see it happening at all but if it did id be so happy

Key England players have not won anything for nearly approaching 40 years <laugh><whistle> As for the Premier League <doh>

Just an older and taller Charlie Lee if you ask me, but doesn't get stuck in as much and doesn't have the ability to long throw. Charlie Lee over Lampard for me any day. Also we have Kedwell and Burton for penalties. Really think this is a pointless signing. <laugh>

Whilst I may NOT be in favour of signing Lampard---- and my son can argue that point with the rest of you for himself ---
I think that a point he ( my son ) has ( maybe ) failed to put across is that in 36 matches this season, Lampard has scored 17 goals for club & country. Not bad for a midfielder..... and allegedly in the face of stiffer opponents.
Whereas Charlie Lee ( who I admire ) has managed just 2 in 22 games ( not counting the disclaimed own goal against York.) Charlie has managed only 18 shots ( less than one a game )
So my point would be that, based on those statistics, Lampard is hardly ready for the Tesco burger factory.

Yeah, we all know it won't happen he will either stay at Chelsea (don't think that will happen) go QPR if they stay up, go back to West Ham or go to La Galaxy which would be a shame if that happens as I want to see him get to 100 caps for England.

This would be one of his biggest challenges as well so it would be great to come here, never know may see David Beckham pull on a shirt at Priestfield next season. :D
