i think that carling cup fiasco was a watershed for many. Up untill then most people were prepared to believe, at least in public, that we had been terribly unlucky and it would all come good. When we finally manged to reach a final , against relegation fodder , it was a fantastic chance to change the fortunes of the team . When it transpired that he was outwitted by that twat McLeish , tactically , it was like a veil being lifted from the eyes of a lot of fans. They looked at Wenger and it was CLEAR that he was NO LONGER the man to take us anywhere. .
Another case of the pressure from the fierce Birmingham rivalry being too much for his royalty Szczesny. "Let me just walk up right behind your back and trip you without uttering a word". And yes I'm overdoing it with him, to compensate for how completely oblivious everyone else is to his mediocrity. Gomez would be hailed as the best keeper in the world by the blinkered criteria by which some here judge keepers.
And yet the stupidity ensues from you. You've already been humiliated enough about Walcott and now you're switching to new targets. BTW Gomez is not a GK.
Yes Walcott's scintillating performance at CF against a team that isn't as **** defensively as Reading has absolutely humiliated me. Yesterday was particularly a low blow to my claim that you might as well play with 1 player less instead of Walcott CF against an organized team. Truly.
Because a forward that basically gets no service against a defense that has only conceded a goal (to us BTW) since the turn of te year was going to absolutely rip them to shreds Top scorer and many assists BTW
He's only had to wait 7 years for us to have the worst season in memory to have some high charting stats. And even then 30-40% of the stats hinge on 3 ****ing comic games vs Reading and Newcastle. Absolutely none of my points on him have been proven to be unsubstantiated. He's our undisputed best option at right wing, that's about it. (mostly because we don't have other options at right wing the way Oxo's been playing)
Because he was going to be a world age 16? 17? 18? 19? FFS get a grip he's having the best season of his life and has been a huge factor in us not being mid-table this season, but of course he's still crap according to you. And he's only going to get better seeing as he's only 23.
Except I've never said he was "crap" in general. I've pointed out several very obvious limitations and weaknesses in his game, which should be pretty easy to be established applying even the slightest amount of critical thinking. That is hard though for people who have a Black and White rating system of 1. Crap, 2. OMGbestestplayer
Of course he has weaknesses, and I think he'd play better in a 4-4-2 with Giroud/Pod, but I also think you're over exaggerating those weaknesses.
So Stan the man speaks our someone spoke for him. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/feb/20/arsene-wenger-arsenal-stan-kroenke seriously - 70M to buy players for Arsenal or for the Rams ? misery to continue for goons?
Looking at that poll now, it's 15-13 in favour of Wenger. Fair to say, our board is spilt on this matter.
It's 18-17 in favour of Wenger now. Looks like a near 50-50 split on this board. A lot of loyalty shown to Wenger, shows how much fans love the guy. Though i think another poll should be made after the top 4 places are finalised. That would make for interesting viewing.
