I wasn't comparing them. Asked earlier what was the highest rated novice and found that excerpt. I think 168p for MTOY is ridiculous

Call me bitter but I thought AP McCoys ride on Snake Eyes was nothing short of race fixing. Punters friend my arse. He's a ****.

The man famous for his strong finsihes and never say die attitude never moved a muscle on Snake Eyes, forfeited the lead and subsequently never asked it a question.

An absolute disgrace, in broad daylight. Will he be investigated? Will he ****.

I think it was worse than that TC. In the early stages he saw that Minellaforfitness (stablemate) was pulling like a train so he sent he sent his horse to the front purely it seemed to allow Geraghty to anchor the favourite to his backside. Worked a treat.

SNAKE EYES, coming to a handicap near you soon..........................................................

Certainly hope you didn't pen that "emulate Golden Cygnet" bit Bob!

Only a complete plank would admit to that.

Out of curiosity, can you give me the address of where you got that prose...they need to be taken down a peg and smell the red mills horse feed!

Not quite sure what was going on there guys.

Nicky Henderson.JP McManus and AP McCoy premeditated cheating?...big call!.

However not a patch on the the perennial cheating of Peter Bowen with Always Waining who for the fourth year in a row runs a horse with no ****ing chance of winning to dupe people before running him at Aintree...he will blow out next time as well..you could set your ****ing watch by it..**** of a man...just like Ginger Junior with Son Of Flicka....but when they win the Nick Luck cranial bypass brigade are slurping and gushing about "great training performances"

    FFS BHA wake up!!!

One of the best adages in gambling is "chase your winnings but not your losses", stuff that.....the bookies have my money today and I want it back.
Enter Hayley Turner on CLEAR PRAISE @ 9-1 in the Kempton 7.30. She has won over course and distance no less than three times on this fella including in this race last year! Yeah they are a couple of pounds higher than I would ideally like but I am sure the sight of his favourite jockette in the paddock will put the necessary spring in his step!

Only fools follow you over a cliff

    To be fair -

Peter Bowen, trainer: “We're going for the best ground around but he doesn't show much anywhere else than Aintree and normally needs two or three runs to hit form and I would like to get three runs into him before the National.”

Just watched that Cheltenian race - wandered around massively in front and idled. Put today down to experience, should run a very nice race in the Supreme

Always a danger Nass, but I think he is a genuinely decent horse and the bigger field should suit him. Also a previous festival winner which is never to be sniffed at. My fiver e/w is still alive and it gives me something to look forward to in the curtain raiser.

Read his CV..he has shown plenty on other tracks and has won and finished finished second first time up.

The last Bowen is being is "fair"

Staggered anyone can extrapolate a legitimate training performance from that.

Look at how much success he has been having lately..thankfully he's been rumbled.

He'd no doubt appreciate your support Nass...doesn't appear to have many others batting for him!

I had a look at the handicaps earlier NASS and nothing really stood out in that race for me.
The two I really like tomorrow are both at Huntingdon. ROCKY ELSOM who easily might be up to defying a 3lb hike and LOST IN NEWYORK in the 5.00 who has run well over inadequate trips on his two British outings so far. The latter was behind the very well handicapped THUNDERSTORM on his latest start and was running a belter when flattening the second last. Was about to do a write up for LOST IN NEWYORK when the 14's was clipped to 10's (bastards)

Anyhow Nass,he has another 12 odd races away from Aintree on terrain encompassing the definiton Soft and Heavy where he has won.

An amazing statistic considering his trainers mendacious remarks.

I want to believe Bowen but can't.

He's a bottom feeder,as most of his past owners have obviously agreed on.

Anyhow, some great stats guys on here could help us out...

...how many supreme winners have been beaten on debut and won the race next time out against a 162 and a 144 in the field after kicking every hurdle out of the ground before running down them....lemming alert!!

Beaten by a runner BG couldn't have been less entusiatic about conceding 6lb's..the third was close conceding 10lb's.

I honestly can't think of a worse candidate for this race in over 20 years at his current price.

I'm quite prepared to wipe egg of my gorgeous chiseled face but itwon't be happening with this fella.

All about opinions and we are up for some great banter...

..With this bullshit I shall have to emigrate if Cheltslowcoachian wins but I 'm ready for the fallout!!

I think you're being a tad unfair on the horse Dex - that was his hurdles debut today and he was still very green and raw. To be honest I think it will need a minor miracle for him to place off the back of that today, given that the Supreme is only 3 weeks away - I'd like him to have had another run but the time just isn't there.

HOWEVER - Montbazon was beaten by Colour Squadron on his hurdles debut last season and was less that fluent at a number of his hurdles. He went on to finish 2 lengths 4th to Cinders and Ashes, just behind Trifolium who was beaten on his hurdles debut by Pink Coat (now rated 110). Even the winner, Cinders And Ashes, was beaten on his hurdles debut by Broadbackbob.

Or go back a year to Al Ferof's Supreme. Al Ferof himself fell on hurdles debut and was then beaten into 3rd behind Backspin and Court In Motion. 3rd placed Sprinter Sacre was beaten on his hurdles debut by Frascati Park.

As I said, just the one run over the hurdles prior to the big day feels like not enough (of recent winners Captain Cee Bee and Ebaziyan had only 2 run over hurdles prior to the Supreme, the others significantly more) but he does have a festival victory to his name, which counts for something.

Ultimately lack of experience will get him beat, rather than the fact he didn't win today and hit a few. He looked like a big baby today.
