Pretty sure thats wrong, especially with Moore going out on loan, i wouldn't trust him in the back 4, and hes not really helping at Huddersfield atm! Then again their biggest mistake was letting Grayson go.

.. I can see it happening because we have a very youthful midfield right now (and Wellens and Gally don't appear to be in NP's mind as starters) ... the bit about defensive cover is wide of the mark mind ... and would seem daft to ship Liam Moore out on loan to Brentford (and Schlupp to Man Utd) if we have concerns about defence ...

I disagree. If he wants an experienced man in midfield he will either bring Richie Wellens into the side or go into the loan market. Neil Danns days here a numbered

Gally made a decent impact the other night and proved he does have a role between now and the end of the season. The crowd need to get off his case and give him a chance. I think the only reason Chris Wood took that free kick at the end and not Gally because if Gally missed the crowd would have just abused him. He is low on confidence and a mindless few idiots are getting to the lad. He said to Stringer at the end he will give 100% to the club, manager and his team mates. He didnt mention the fans, I wonder why that is?

Me personally I like Gallagher and I think he can still bring something to the team. Yeah he isnt good enough to be first choice but he still has a role. He cant play any worse then what Knockaert and Marshall did

We dont need defensive cover now both Sean St. Ledger and Zak Whitbread are back

.. as we've said before, it's all about opinions - rumours about Danns being recalled may be just that - but if Gally has a role to play other than from the bench then I think we can wave goodbye to promotion to be frank - he is a one trick pony - we need some drive determination and steel to the midfield and Gally brings none of those qualities .. and, to some extent that's why the crowd gets on his back ...

... and as to decnt impact - what does that even mean? ... he came on we still lost - I could have done that.

    We don't need Danns.

All he does is race forward with the ball and launch it into the box when there is clearly nothing on.

He does alot of work, hes a box to box midfielder, but our CM roles seem more defensive minded, this gives more freedom for Knocky and Marshall/Dyer

Something has to happen soon and Gally is not the answer (too powder puff) .. scratching my head to be frank ... Tom Ince (and his old man) up next ... hopefully we get a bit of luck ... we need it!

Well Huddersfield have changed their manager and they got spanked 6-1 by Forest last night. Mark Robins will want to look at the squad and who knows he might even send both Danns and Beckford back here

If they both came back we should be looking to use them. At the minute we are all saying how **** our strikers are (Other then Wood and Nugent) and how we lack some fight in midfield at times. I cant see Nigel allowing them to have another chance but would these 2 add something to the squad or would their old attitudes just disrupt the squad

Why is it that when we win a few games we've the best team in this division and when we lose a few, the answer must lie outside of the current team?

Danns is certainly not the answer. To be honest, I never rated the guy when everyone was raving about him last year. I always though he looked like a chicken with it's head cut off, constantly chasing the ball, occasionally winning, but producing little in terms of creativity. He just stood out because he worked hard.

The team that lost last night is our first team. It's the team that got us to second at two different points this season and it gets us back to winning ways again. For me, the only problem at the minute with the fans. The ground was silent last night after Charlton scored their first, despite the fact that there were 71 minutes still to go! This lack of belief in the team will transfer to the players. We need to be confident and believe in the current team, which is as good as any in this league. Everyone has been on edge since the Peterborough game and that was evident last night. If we want our team to start playing again, we need to get behind them - not bring back Neil bloody Danns!

Ryan Tunnicliffe is going out on emergency loan allegedly.

I reckon he'll come to you.

    Very good player indeed.

For me its a combination of confidence and the youth in the team - if we go a goal up we look very good and can go on to spank people - but at the moment if it goes the other way we look fragile - I always rated Danns when he played for Palace etc - but you are right in that he has not always been effective for us - but there was a time last year - around Derby away -when he was very good and more or less won us that game on his own .. if he could reprod=uce that form he would be a real asset - but it's a big 'if' admittedly ...

As I think you're aware, a lot of "ifs" in there! I'm seriously not too worried - just yet anyway! But the rot has to stop now. As I said in another thread, the last time we lost three in a row, we got a brilliant victory over Blackpool to reignite our season. Let's hope Sat is the same again!

Actually not sure I agree with your summary of our reactions to goals. I think we have often tended to take our foot off the pedal when we're in front, then reapply it if the opposition does equalises. This hasn't been happen so much as late, it's almost as if we become shell shocked when we concede. I can only put this down to us lacking confidence in a high pressure situation. The fans have their part to play in solve this issue. We need to roar them on to victory, not boo them off at half time!

Both players are with Huddersfield on long term loans. Beckford had his 93 days on emergency loan earlier in the season, and Danns was announced at the beginning of January as being a loan until the end of the season. Neither is eligible to play for you again this season. We had it with Mark Cullen coming back from Bury, and Liam Cooper coming back from Carlisle early previously (and Windass from Oldham when we were in the PL as well).

EDIT: Cooper was at Huddersfield not Carlisle, does help if I give the correct club for the precedents.

Of course then can both play for us. They are our players and they already have played for us this season. Beckford started the first 2 games and Danns came on at Blackburn. We can recall Danns but not Beckford. But Huddersfield can send him back if they want to but we will have to agree to have him back aswell.

With them having a new manager I was just speaking hypothetically

A long term loan can only be ended during a transfer window. The last transfer window closed at the end of January and the next one opens in July. They are both on long term loans as neither deal could be an emergency loan due to the 93 day maximum length, they are therefore not eligible to play for your first team again this season even if all parties agree to end the loan early. 3 previous cases of this happening to us have been given in my other post. Honestly, sometimes it's like talking to Tickler about Rangers.

EDIT: If you wish to point to a loophole in the rules that allows for recalls outside of the window I'd be interested to see it. I'm aware there is a specific exemption to this if it is a goalkeeper being recalled, but neither player in this case is a keeper.

You really are clueless. Beckford and Danns have already played for us this season therefore we have been registered as 1 of the 2 teams they are allowed to play for in the season.

It that really that difficult to understand?

We can recalled Danns anytime after the first 28 days but Beckford if Huddersfield want to keep him then we are powerless to get him back. Not that we want him back anyway. We are coping more then fine with Wood and Nugent
