    Looks like it!

We are also now better than leicester and hull in the play off stats and projections.

Hull really arent scoring many goals too....

On our current top form we can finish second.....

A lot depends on how the points tip game by game... one fluke result for any team will change the odds.... it is so tight.

We could easily have drawn or even lost yesterday with the chances Ipswich had.....

I think in ourselves, Palace, Hull and Leicester there are 4 good teams and trying to second guess who will have the good or bad run at the right or wrong moment is fun but will not be accurate. Who expected Leicester to suffer three successive defeats - that could happen to us or any of the teams.

I now think Cardiff could be caught - perhaps by us - perhaps by Hull - or both?

Goals scored/against in last 8 games:
    Watford 19/6
    Leicester 16/6
    Palace 13/8
    Brighton 13/8
    Cardiff 7/4
    Hull 8/6

    Cardiff and Hull plateau-ing?

    More important are points

    Watford 13
    Leicester 12
    Cardiff 11
    Palace 11
    Hull 10
    Middlesboro 4

there is nothing in it really - our squad size may help if injures are a part of the end of the season

    Bristol City
    Millwall
    Blackburn
    Brighton
    Ipswich

These are the teams that have stopped us from scoring, and of those Brizzle are the only team to do so since November 6th. I don't know what that means but it seems rather positive.

Ipswich second half tactics failed .... stop us scoring again and score on the break.

Every club now will see us as a threat and will be very cautious.... and we STILLL manage to score :)

To be fair, we haven't been scoring many goals all season but I'm sure I saw a stat that before last night only Cardiff had won more games than us. We tend to win games by the odd goal rather than giving the opposition a pasting.

I think second place will be between us, you and Leicester and trying to predict who will nick it is nigh on impossible.

Unlike many others I don't think that Cardiff's loss last night will start a plummet down the league. I still think they will go up as champions.

Be interrsting to see how our Easter game goes...... can you stop us scoring etc etc.....

I agree Hull/Watford or Leicester for the second place slot

but on current form Hull look less strong.... http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/oform.html

Although I agree it is a match by match scenario now....

Lies, damn lies and statistics <laugh>

To be honest we tend to gift teams goals in games so I suspect we won't stop you from scoring. I don't care as long as we score more though <ok>

Our form isn't too bad atm - won 3, drawn 1, lost 1 in our last 5, and played Blackburn off the park last night, restricting them to 1 shot in 90 mins

I am already nervous about the Hull game!! It literally could go any way, and is almost impossible to predict!!

It is nice to have this sort of tension in our season, as opposed to the "will we get to the magic 50 points" we have been used to over the past few years.

This whole season has been impossible to predict.

Before the season started I thought we'd finish about 10th, a play off spot if we were lucky, but we currently sit second with a realistic chance of automatic promotion.

If you like statistics - or omens - we have lost five games at home this season - and won the away game in the four so far played - the fifth is Hull

Hull were the best team at ours this season....so that game makes me nervous, but with us scoring like we do, and them not scoring much, like they do, it will be tight, but we'll nick it. Of the remaining games, obviously Hull, Leicester and Cardiff are the big ones, but it's hard to say how any of the games we'll go, though i suspect we'll lose to Peterborough! lol

Going to make two bold statements here after looking at the remaining fixtures...

    1. No team will get above 95 points come the end of the season.

    2. Cardiff will not be champions.

Obviously just my opinion, certainly is set to be a nail biting run in to the end!

Cardiff fan...we would be quite happy to finish second if that`s ok with everyone else lol.

No matter what happens we need to win enough games and past results don`t help with that.

    best of luck....

Have you got anybody that might be liable to get suspended that would seriously affect the team?

...but would that seriously affect the team? We are seriously blessed with replacements IMO.
