At least thats what i hope he says when in Swansea next !! ... Are Cardiff on course for prem football or have they hit the end of season run-in wall?? a set back fot them tonight with all their rivals winning and them losing at home, looks like the chase for prem football is back on an there could be an intresting time watching events down in the championship in the coming months. Orlandi showed last season he was a good prem player when given the chance, the type of football suited him better but while feeling a bit sorry for him leaving Laudrup made the call and thats the end of it, i hope he can take Brighton up to the prem league this year it would be fantastic for him an im glad he is making an impact unlike Dobbie who yet again proved to be a bit short on something and is moved onto yet another club. C'mon Brighton !
I always rated Orlandi, and he's having a great season for Brighton, but after sinking the Redtits, he's forever now a Jack Legend!..................
Yes Dobbie scored as did Bayo and Oralandi sunk the Bluebirds ..yay !! the chmpionship is always an intresting place from febuary onwards, anything can happen..and it normally does !!
delightful result, cheers Andrea, once a jack forever a Jack! maybe the redtits should hand out white handkerchiefs at their next game
i'm a long way from there Musty, my stamping ground is between central, wanchai and quarry bay. i'll be in wanchai watching the game on sunday at midnight, plenty of options for celebrating the victory in the wee hours you had problems in Tuen Mun?
As I said at the time I will only post when the content gets better and reading ivors article restored my faith a little bit.
Thanks for your kind words guys, and indeed those who also sent me PM' s. As you know im all about the content and the debate, sure a bit of wumming now and again is fun(hence this article!) but talking about the swans is number 1 and being able to be objective about our team minus abuse is a key factor in making the forum a worthwhile read. Some struggle with the concept of being objective though and it doesnt half get tedious as a result !!
Are Jacks too touchy? Seems there are lots of toys thrown out of the prams these days! Just saying, perhaps the answer is not to take these type of forums so seriously, then things would not get so personal or heated, just a thought girls. PS: We don't want heavy serious football related threads all the time either, as football is a 'GAME', though I'm not suggesting that's the case on here, but some really do need to chill out, and relax and enjoy, just an observation.................
I agree Dragon. Problem is that people give out abuse but cant take it back then the whole "he said that,he did this,i want the mods to do something "etc etc starts up and it turns into a major cluster **** for no reason what so ever !! The petty nature of some posters is what is doing the damage, everone likes to have the last word we all know that but that aint always possible is it? i like to think i balance humour and serious debate very well Dragon ..hence this article !!
I know your balanced Norway, and I'm not targeting anyone with my previous comment, just that every time I've had a break from here, and there have been a few recently, I come back to mayhem, and that cannot be good for our board, and regardless of who's been at fault, I've always supported the Mods on here, who ultimately as you say then get targeted for not doing something, or doing something to strong, seems you can't win being a Moderator, think it kind of needs a particular personality, type of personality that can detach from the opposing posters, seems Ash has found that quality where, he sanctions both sides fairly in my view. You take the Issue I missed on the Voting for New Mod, where QPR Posters stuck their noses in, what should have been pretty straight forward to resolve, became complex, because posters started appearing from their nuclear bunkers, who had not posted on here for some considerable time, and were then dragging up issues regarding Dilli when he was a mod, and even bringing up the subject of Breezy? So much petty nonsense, that I cannot be bothered with other than shooting those down in flames, which usually ends up with the personal stuff, as happened between myself and KJ, to which Ash had to warn both myself and KJ, who then promised to leave for good again........ There is no doubt in my mind that some don't realise what a strong personality they have, and that can be an issue to, but some though are clearly intent on being nothing but disruptive, and are not happy unless they have achieved that, my view is that life is too short for all this crap, so I try my very best to stay out of these issues now, unless of course it is the QPR board, or my stalker KJ is back to make a hit on me, which I have some affection for now, I must add!...........
Personally, I get sick and tired when threads disintegrate into abuse and name calling etc. I post on and read this board purely and generally for football matters and, specifically, the Swans. For anything else, I have a wide circle of family, friends and many other interests to entertain me. I am just not interested in the boring ****e, name calling and insults that have infested this board. Sometimes it seems as though some posters get more of a kick out of doing that than posting about football. I was on the brink of quitting a number of times and still might do so if it kicks off again. For many reasons my time is too precious to waste it ploughing through a load of dross to find something relating to the thread. For that reason, I much preferred BBC 606. I seem to remember that there was far less crap on there and that suited me just fine.
top post Ivor you've summed up my feelings exactly i enjoy the banter but hate the descent into perniciousness that happens too often. btw good to see Norway back and posting!
