How can we get them to pick up the situation at Huddersfield? I noticed bbc have picked it up but if SSN get on the case it is sure to relate to all football fans and get the attention it deserves. I appreciate there Is a slight conflict of interest with their involvement in the matter but with that to one side we need it bringing to their attention. Ps: on phone so sorry for spelling etc...
I think that talksport will pick up on it quite a bit, considering they do go on about the Football League a bit more than the other stations (probably due to most of the presenters supporting lower-league clubs). They did give it a mention this morning, though.
Get in touch with Rob Palmer, City fan and reporter. He will know about it already to be fair though.
I do have an email address for one of the SSN Senior News Editors, and I emailed him myself yesterday with the statement as released by AN, CI and OSC. As they have an involvement, perhaps they don't want to?
i tweeted that Durham on talksport last night asking if hed highlight it, annoying tit that he is when he gets on his high horse he usually gets attention so thought he may take our side on it, as far as im aware he ignored me, but i am new to twitter and probably didnt even send it properly
Now you mention it, someone might like to make the connection that one of the officers implicated over Hillsborough was until recently very high up at West Yorkshire Police. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-20067716 Presumably the Chief Constable has a say in determining policy, and as his replacement was only approved 12 days ago I doubt he's had much time to influence things.
You probably did send it to him, it's just that the man is an insufferable oaf and probably doesn't care for any team in the Championship apart from P'Boro. If we get Boyd he'll probably have a go at us and call us a **** team...he is the radio equivalent of a WUM.
Is there a way you can add SSN reporters into tweets praising the BBC? I imagine if everyone following Jeff Stelling for example was getting tweets thanking the BBC for reporting it because of some hashtag that was included that Sky may suddenly see a point to reporting it. We would have to be fair though, if someone starts doing that and Sky pick up on it then the same people should then thank the Sky reporters in the same way, otherwise we'd just be being selfish bastards.
I will tweet them again and see what I can do. Maybe get Lambretta on to it too cos he is the tweeting king
Speaking of news outlets, it's nice to see BBC giving us some coverage for once. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21523997?
There are similar, more recent laws too, most notably the Tyrannical Bastards Act of 2002 (s. 4) and the What Kind Of Orwellian F*cking Dystopia Are We Living In?! Act of 2010
IMO, it wont make a scrap of difference. Sky are main culprits in the Udders shambles as they could quite easily have left the ko @ 12.30pm and shown it Live at that time FFS. Like most things in this country a simple situation has ended up worse than a dogs dinner. I still think that the travel restrictions will be lifted as i dont see Tiger Travel being able to cope with 1500 fans. As for talksport, tweet Stan Collimore. No bombard Stan Collimore with tweets. He is always banging on about how football fans are treated and the stupid way that the Police in this country act generally to big games.
