No w-y the border did not move after Berwick joined - they did it for travel reasons. Cardiff and Swansea have historically been in the English leagues - for nearly a century so why should they be kicked out. They dont take any more money out of the league than they put in the same as any other club - they dont get subsidies.

They receive revenue through the funding from the FA & FL sponsorships and TV deals, they receive funding through playing in Englisg cup games and they receive revenue through the crowds they attract by playing Englisg clubs - as I said it's an artifical situation.
Comparing distances is also totally irrelevant and is dependent on the starting place considered - Leeds is a lot closer to Newcastle than it is Swansea.

Add to that the fact that the Welsh FA do not want to participate in a British team for the Olympics because they are worried about it leading to losing national status - yet they owe their fat salaries and expenses to the English league.

OK - your opinion - funny how in other threads people argued for tradition - which supports Swansea and Cardiff historically being in the English league. Also my point was tehy get the same deal as other clubs in the league and cup so they are not "subsidised" - and Manchester City can do what they like with their players / money - they have enough of it - it is not from Watford's purse

The Olympics is a national not a club issue - and there have in the past been threats that if the British formed an international team we would all lose our independent status - England have been as fearful in the past as the others on that.

I dont think MM would go for it either ! as mentioned I think Mr Gold is going to get a fair few rejections!

I`m also hoping MM would not want to be a porn kings puppet!
However the concern rating creeps up another notch!

Morning all. It's a cold and windy morning in Chch - 4C, though feels colder The chooks are not impressed, but at least their henhouse hasn't blown over this time.
Why would Malky go to another Championship club, and one that is in even a worse financial state than Watford. And would you want to work for the kings of sleeze?

Hi NZ - had breakfast yet ?

Hope fully he would not be interested - I cannot believe they would go for an untried manager unless they were desperate

Eggactly NZ(sorry couldnt resist) I actually think the Hammers are going to struggle now and I`m talking off the pitch! The debt that has to be serviced on a now championship income is quite scary! Makes our 15m or so seem like loose change!
Hows things going in respect to getting the infrastructure back in the worst hit areas?

    Evening all

Feeling a bit light-headed after a rather severe haircut. In need of a View attachment 3001 I think.
