In my experience honey is only good with proper oats. If you put it in the instant stuff it often gets soaked up by the porridge and just goes rubbish.

As Chief says, if you want decent porridge then use proper oats, not the crap in sachets - that's purely for when you want to be as quick as possible.

The only Man v Food challenges that interest me are the ones involving good food like steak or lobster. Those giant burger ones are just ****ing stupid cos the bun means the challenge is basically "can you eat an entire loaf of bread". No thanks, I'm not stoned and I'm not a student.

Unfortunately the only one near me is the "Ashvale Whale" which is a 1lb battered haddock fillet. Not at all appealing - if I want a one pound fish I'll just ask this guy:

I'm having a ready made curry for lunch. Not usually a fan of ready meals but they are sometimes conveniant. However I came across Welsh curries in the chiller isle there are a few of them and are by far the best ready made curries I've ever had.

Cheese and branston butties for dinner, chicken casserole for tea.

Which is good because I had a McD breakfast this morning, like a siren it called me in as I drove up the A465. Was starving, had to be done.

Garlic mussels is not a tea that's dinner. Tea is having a bacon buttie or beans on toast.. Ie not a proper meal.

Friday night is pizza night. Got a couple of 14" bad boys from Asda to help me slip into a food induced coma for the rest of the evening.

The key decision is Stella or Peroni.

takeaway curry probably. Couple of good films on tonight latish, but they clash. Southern Comfort and Three Kings.

Pigged myself yesterday. Had meat and potato pie and beans for lunch, forgetting I had a full roast waiting at home <yikes>
