Artur Boruc is 33 today. Keep it up Artur, a big few months coming up! Best/worst Artur moments? DTLW
Worst moment was when he had a very average start to the season and i thought he was in the same boat as Gazzaniga. Best moment was when i realized i was very wrong and he is a really decent keeper!
Just watched the Man City highlights again (sad I know, but desperately bored)...how did Boruc claim that ball at the end. He pushed it out with his foot and then, despite attention from 3 players, he gathered it to himself. Also a fine save (though as the commentator said, virtually all he had to do all game). The sign of a good goalie...remaining alert when not involved very much.
His save vs. Van Persie was one of the best I've seen from any keeper all season. He threw himself across the goal.
His worst moment was against Arsenal when he dropped 3 crosses in a row at the start of the game. The best thing is that he has been excellent since then.
It's a long time since we have had any real confidence in our keeper. Was always a bit nervous with KD.
All this tribute to Artur, who's been around 5 minutes, and you lot let Rickie's birthday go by unnoticed. Last Saturday it was. I did mention it. Happy Birthday Artur.
33, still young for a keeper. Gotta agree with the above, looked really nervous when he couldn't catch the ball in the first few games, but now we know it was due to lack of match practice. If only he was here when Bialkowski was about, he could have helped him develop into a better keeper.
Fair enough, if that was a direct reference to LoTR, as a LoTR fan, I'd have felt compelled to point out the fact that it's not thou shalt!
Made me worried. Not only because it wasn't the kind of display I wanted to see, but because morons in the crowd had already started to get on his back.
Likewise. I've always been fairly confident that with a bit of patience with the guy, he would be absolutely fine. He was understandably rusty. I still don't think he's playing at 100% yet but would hope he would be prepared to extend his contract here.
Yes, yes, yes, Gandalf the Grey at the Bridge of Khazad Dûm, with Durin's Bane on the other side. Read it. Next..! I'm an old fan, PL and by the way it's... You Cannot Pass..!
