We all appreciate we can't, don't, won't spend as the mega rich clubs but why isn't Wenger held more accountable for this squad??

    LOANEES
We have a dearth of players on loan seemingly as no one will actually buy them probably becuase they are disgustingly overpaid (Denilson, Chamakh, Park, Bendtner, Djourou, Santos)
Apart from Jack who was the last player to have successful loan spell and come into the side? Cole at Palace?

    NO FAITH REMAINING
There is no faith in them and they have little to no confidence (Arshavin, Squillaci) what's the point? Just a waste of wages and squad space

    THE OVER PRICED
    Gervinho 10M
Kos 10M, Vermaelen 11M (How many CB's in the league were over 10M???)
AOC 12M - Maybe harsh and I really hope he makes it but we should expect more for a player with that value

    THE INJURY CURSED
Diaby and Rosicky on from are EXCELLENT players but far too injury pronne to rely on , Thomas at least doesn't take as long to get back to form but Diaby on top of missing a ton of games takes many games to regain his form

    UNABLE TO FIND THEIR POTENTIAL
We had high hopes for Ramsey and he has improved slightly but still not good enough to challenge
I like Coquelin but again not enough to be counted upon
Szezcesny is young for a GK but his arrogance seems too much of a hindrance

I've saved judgement for the new players

Mertersaker and Arteta are good "squad" players

So you're left with??? Jack, Sagna?, Theo, Gibbs

The tons of posts constantly slating him seem to suggest otherwise.

Chez has come under fire recently for making 1 "mistake" against BB, certainly doesn't mean he's not to be counted on.
Ramsey has been improving for a while and will come good.
Coq is young, and while I wouldn't place too much faith in him, is impressing.
Kos has gone fro savior to over-priced in half a season ok. Verm is going through a tough run and putting the armband on him hasn't helped, but he's still a very good player.
Chamberlain is 19 YEARS OLD FOR GOD'S SAKE, he's nowhere NEAR the finished deal and despite that he's won plaudits and caps for England already.
Gervihno has potential but his issues have blighted his for and it looks like he might not make it at the club.
The loaness are over-payed but they will eventually be gotten of the books (if it be by being loaned out each year until their contracts run out so be it-We won't have to pay their wages while on loan)
Arshavin has his flashes but laziness has gotten the better of him.
Squillachi is nowhere near the team, but he's basically a safety blanket in case of injuries (he should be gotten rid of though)
Rosicky is playing well ATM, and Diaby still has a future (barely)

When Arsenal lose or draw the majority of posts/tweets from Arsenal fans is slating him and scrutinizing every move he makes. When Arsenal win, the Wenger bashing is at a minimum and generally the players get the credit.
In short - If it's wrong -Blame Wenger

All managers make mistakes, especially if they operate on a limited budget and have to gamble. You have to give Arsene some slack because no one is perfect.
Having said that I think 10 players must be shifted : Fabiansky and Mannone (if we find a new quality keeper), Squilacci, Arshavin, Chamakh, Bendner, Denilson, Santos, Diaby, Djourou. Wenger also must bite the bullet and admit that Gervinho was an epic flop.
This is 11 players ! The whole team. Just think about it - we have the whole team of sub-standart, mentally weak, spent and higely overrated footballers sitting on very nice wages. (OK, some are now on loan and supposedly are being paid by other clubs. But we do not know who actually pays their salaries). But that is not the point.
The point is - if we replace this dross with solid, mentally strong and willing to fight for the club players and a couple of top class guys, the squad will be massively strengthened.
But Wenger will never ever do this because as he said, changing more than two players in the team is a massive, massive risk....
The massive change is evidently needed, but we are stuck, because no one has the will to change things , not the manager, not the board, not the owner. We are stuck guys.

    Of course Wenger is accountable.

Ultimately Wenger made the decision to sell RVP he also made the decision to not strengthen in the last window. Did he not watch the first half of this Season - It was evident that the team needs improvements.

    A few January transfers..

Sissoko to Newcastle for £1.2 Million
Llorente to Juve for £3.2 Million
    Holtby to Spurs £7 Million
    Ba to Chelsea £8 Million
Mathieu Debuchy to Newcastle £5 Million

There where plenty of good players available for decent prices. Wenger believes this squad is good enough and to me that shows the man is loosing his touch.
We most be one of the only Vlubs in history where the board has to come out and publically announced that THERE IS MONEY AVAILABLE - Because the manager is reluctant to spend.
