weird aint it. You saw jack being crap . I saw arteta being invisible. we wont mention mr parrynotcatch............people might be a bit sensetive tonite.
No you incorrectly paraphrased me as singling out Wilshere when that wasn't the case. Which is why I corrected you.
That's cause Rooney is an idiot, if he played for a team as average or as **** ours and that started wondering all over the place when we play a team like Bayern than he would just be an idiot. There is a reason Fergie makes him play on the wings in big European games, where can he run up and down. Our defence was already deep in the first half, having our AM also drop deep would have given even ZERO chance of doing anything going forward. If Wilshere dropped deep and got the ball, who does he aim at? Nobody, especially with someone like Walcott upfront. Randomly coming back and just looking for the ball against a team like Bayern is not going to work, you need to be more structured because they are just going to exploit the gaps that we leave. Wenger clearly wanted Ramsey and Arteta to sit deeper and feed Wilshere the ball higher up the pitch, but predictably those two got outclassed and Bayern took control of the midfield.
Jack was our best player, but that isn't saying much. He was followed by Sagna, Arteta and Cazorla. The rest... all crap. Mertesacker shouldn't play another match for us this season after that performance. Szczesny wasn't far off with his crapfest either.
I don't think they have. Most of the comments in the first half were quite aware with the absence of Wilshere. He's been the best or second best player in every game he's played this season, which I've also pointed out. But he was not even 20% of his usual self the first half. How that is even controversial just shows that some players are beyond criticism around here.
So he wasn't one of 'all the other players' who were 'broken' then ? Or any of the other players who weren't 'mentally strong' then ? Great if you're owning up to that, I just think you needed a little nudge in the right direction
He was yes. But that doesn't translate to what you said: "Blaming Wilshere is just so wide of the mark though, it's laughable. He was practically the only player trying to force the issue and make something happen for us." This is a tool you employ in practically every argument I've had with you. You don't attack the argument but a caricature of it. Every single time. On our board, on the spurs board, everywhere. You have shown time and again that you can't argue without incorrectly paraphrasing someone's argument.
You had better support a better team or you are gonna look a bit jealous with such a post . edit . Location: Plymouth Interests: Football, surfing, golf , most sports Occupation: Plumbing & Heating no more needs to be said . My deepest sympathy. now **** off.
That is the 2nd time you've posted that. I suggest you post something constructive (or at least add to the discussion) or **** off before you get banned
I think you just over reacted. Shez was not at fault for the goals and Arteta was not the only player with mental strength. Arsenal did not play well but there is no need to pick on the players you keep picking on.
Jack was one of our better players tonight. Sagna also played well. The thing is we are just NOT on the same level as the top teams anymore. Its not a case of looking for individuals to blame. We're on the same level as teams like Tottenham and Porto. NOT at the level of Barca, Bayern, Dortmund, Real, Man United etc..
Just got back from the game, we just weren't good enough, simple as that. I think it's telling that we haven't been able to beat any of the elite quality sides this season, losing 90% of our games against them. If you can't defend, which we obviously can't, then you will get no where. Poor defending has always been a hall mark of Wenger, which is why I found it laughable when people go on about us doing a Chelsea, Chelsea knew how to defend when needed, we can't defend to save our lives. It's basically the same story all over again for Arsenal, another fruitless season where we find ourselves only looking to scrap for a 4th spot, which doesn't lead to anything much, but simply carries us onto another fruitless and unproductive season. There's no reason to suspect anything will change under this manager and regime as it's been the same story every year, if anything, rather than progressing and getting closer to the top, we find ourselves moving further away from the top, and regressing. Very depressing time to be an Arsenal fan with high ambitions for this club, but if you're in the deluded blinker brigade, then all is good as there's a very 'exciting' run in for 4th spot, which is like the greatest thing in the world for them, and off course if we do get 4th spot, they will harp on about it being a good season which has been salvaged because of that 4th spot, the 4th spot which leads no where off course, but to another season where we do it all again, get knocked out of every competition, and scrap with Spurs for 4th place.
