I really hope ALL of the fans embrace the genorosity of our chairman tonight with the grat issue of a red scarf for all those who attend. I for one will be holding mine aloft with pride. What say you ?

i'll probably just wear it, if you read cardiff city forum, they are all saying this is part of tans huge plan to indoctrinate us, and that some will be arranging their scarves in a huge pile outside the ticket office to stick 2 fingers up at the club.

why they cant just say no thanks, i'll never know. anyway they'll probably be back at midnight to flog them all on ebay <laugh>

I've got no issue with that. It's how you should respond if someone gives you a gift you don't really want, to throw it back in their face as mentioned above is just rude.

VT has delivered everything he's said he will up to this point in time. I think the majority of our fans see that and are accepting the 'deal' he's offered. Will the red thing work? None of us have a clue tbh, but he's clever, motivated, self made man. If he thinks it's worth the agro he must believe there's a pay off to be had.

We all have our opinions on the matter, me i will accept it with the grace it is given.

Swamp, we all know the agenda these people have regarding VT and their inability to give him any credit for saving us from going bust, He has been as good as word so far and to even consider such a ridiculous gesture just shows the mentality of the vocal minority <ok>

The only question that I want answered is can I have a refund for the red scarf I bought my Mrs for Xmas ? I still got the receipt.

Seriously if you don't want the scarf don't take it, but don't insult Cardiff City by throwing it on the pitch. Because after all its got our name on it, our (this season's) badge on it, and most importantly may distract the players from the job in hand, trying to beat Brighton.
We're all Cardiff City and we should all be trying to achieve the same result, promotion to the Premier League.
If any supporter is not 100% behind the club from the chairman to the tea lady , at this most important season in our history then are you really a supporter ?

Will anyone even notice 10 scarves left on the ground?

No problem with ITI's view, completely sensible and the right way to deal with it if that is how you feel. <ok>

The half heads talking about dumping the scarves outside the ground? If they don't like VT's revolution that much what are they even doing coming to the games?

I bet half of them are still moaning about the change to colour television.

You can't change history and VT has no intention of doing that. What he is doing is influencing the future. And for £100m who are we to argue?

I'm of the opinion that if people wish to express their feelings fine, but do it outside. Once inside the stadium I become colourblind and give 100% support to the boys on the pitch in search of 3 more points.

I will be saying no thank you.

If someone wants one fair enough. However while I can accept red as a temporary move theres no way im embracing it.

Cardiff City should play in blue.

Im more interested in another 3 points and supporting the team than this scarf issue anyway.

Wo let these Pillocks out of their cages I mean come on you let them out for 2 minutes so they can change nappys and then they see red and sh1t themselves I know they're city fans and they deserve an opinion but this is just bull sh1t would they prefer if someone made another club in cardiff that played in blue

Totally respect your opinion Hilts, but the only way I see the change to red as temporary is if the owners are also only here short term, for as long as VT is in charge/owns the club I fully expect us to play in red. I' not saying this is my prefered choice just the way I think it'll work out.

If they extend the stadium as suggested I wouldn't be suprised to see a change to red to accompany it, I don't think he'd have gone through this for the sake of a couple of seasons in red.

Tomorrows history is made today! in years to come we might be saying "remember the time we played in blue" and that will be part of our history. We might also be saying "remember that time we played in red for a bit" and that to will become part of our history. No selling of souls has happened and no bowing down to anyone, we have done what we had to so the club can survive, the alternative was unthinkable.

You can't take away history, you can't destroy it, it has happened and is always a part of the club, as will this time be, a moment in time of the clubs history.
Take the scarf or leave it, it's your choice. But whatever you do, whichever way it goes, it will be part of our history and future generations will view it in a different light than we do now.

PS: Still haven't got used to seeing them play in red mind!

I wonder if the anti red racist lot will be starting their march from the social clubs of City Road, Grangetown et al, all marching along behind the brass band with the number 1 cheerleader at the front (you know who i mean) all wearing their blue bandanas, flared trousers and Ron Jeremy moustaches (for the younger ones who dont know who Big Ron is, google him) to get to the ground to dump their red scarves accordingly, and heres me thinking all the sheep came from up my way. By the way enjoy the game and lets make it a sea of red.

My Grandson asked for mine, he wants to be one of the first in his school to have one. Looks like all the young kids want one.

It is a marketing ploy and those that do not want the scarf should politley refuse the offer. Dumping them outside the ground afterwards is infantile and will have no effect as it wil be seen as just that.
I still do not have a red shirt and as much as I tried I couldn't bring myself to buy a red shirt when I was last at the CCS.

Tonight Ill be wearing my retro Riverside FC top <ok>...Still cant believe they changed to blue <doh>

seriously, as said above, accept a scarf/dont accept a scarf...its your choice. I'll be accepting one.... its freezing in the mornings so any extra lagging is welcome <ok>

But accepting the offer just to throw it on the floor smacks of petulance and immaturity... and wont make a blind bit of difference anyway. Thankfully, that attitude seems to have by-passed this forum <ok>
