I honestly think he was worried about him getting a second yellow... he'd only just got one and his job was to harass the defenders so they couldn't build from the back so there was a danger he'd mistime another tackle as he tired
Podolski was having little impact on the game until he scored. Arsenal needed more width which is why he came off and led to the Giroud chance.
I don't know why you lot didn't start with Rosicky, he looks like an in-form player. Is he carrying an injury or something?
Who cares? I dont get that argument. Honestly I would much rather have a forward that guarantee's you goals than one who is more well rounded but offers less in the box. Much like Van Nistlerooy you just cant argue with his record.

Van Nistelrooy does a lot of work off the ball and his movement's extremely dangerous. You're thinking more along the lines of Darren Bent, where it's often like playing with 10 men, then he gets a goal every few games. Not worth it.
Quality player in a quality team. The confidence flows through Bayern. Lahm is so assured on the ball. Gutted to lose tonight, but they were good to watch I have to admit.
Time to focus on the race for top four, so this time next year we can get another trashing of a proper team.
Bayern are a quality team and I always thought they would go through... There was a glimmer of hope for you when you scored but 3-1 down after the first home leg... Tie over...
Giroud's first touch and shot could have brought us back to 2-2, but it wasn't to be. Bayern's quality was too much.
