Mertesacker and Szczesny have been awful. Whoever said "neither goal was Szczesny's fault", did you even see the second goal? Like SJW, I'm not even angry. This is no different to the Chelsea and Man City games so we should be used to this type of performance. I'm sure some people will say we're playing well because we've managed to string a few passes together. I'm done arguing with deluded people though.
I think it was just a bit erratic, it seemed if you appealed you got a foul. I don't think you can deny Arteta deserved a yellow, however how come Mertascaker did not get booked yet Sagna did, it was inconsistent.
Bayern are clearly superior, they are a class act and measure of how far off if them we are at the moment. We've still got a long way to go in this tie though, so giving up now is a bit weak to be honest. We are going to have to rely on a few moments to take our chances, or capitalise on a mistake. But defensively, we have been woeful again. There were one or two moments in that 1st half, the RB slipped and Sagna had a chance and when Wilshere and Walcott took players on. That's what we need to do more of
I think the spirit of Mike Dean must be hanging around the stadium. That could explain this performance
Second goal any good keeper would have comfortably punched either side not directly to the front. Just as on the FA Cup as well. They had one tame shot all game and he punches it right in front of the guys foot. He is an absolutely average keeper if not for his occasional reflexive saves (which come in matches we're winning comfortably more often than not).
Wtf was Vermaelen doing for the first goal, he might as well have just sat down watched them waltz in on goal
Vermaelen has been a useless **** all season, and the fact he is captain of our clubs sums it up, really.
Been happening for a while!! How many point have Arsenal taken out a possible 72 against teams finishing in the top4 of the PL in the last 4 seasons (not including this one) 23!!!!!!!!!!! (and 1 out of 15 against top3 this season)
6 good months is all he's had. And he's been shambolic for the rest of the 2 years. He's lost all of his traits that seemed to make him a leader those 6 months too. Seriously just give the armband to Arteta. Everyone on the team with any sense probably already view him as the captain.

The defender gave away a free header from a few yards out and Shez made a reaction save. He did not have any time to be precise about the save. Then the defender lost his man for the rebound. It is not the goalkeepers fault. Disappointed Arsenal have played so poorly. They needed to be on top form.
