Yann's return tommorow and he will sure as hell get alot of stick. Not only for his infamous penalty, he remarks afterwards how he didnt understand why we was so upset with him. And then to top it all off when he scored his rubbed it in with his celebration in front of the City fans.

Lets hope its a different frenchman everyone is talking about at full time, Knockaert will show Yann how to showboat

.. returns to Leicester for the first time tomorrow night since the 'infamous' penalty miss in Cardiff ...

... I suspect that quite a few will boo him but I really hope they don't - the bloke didn't miss on purpose and we should all be aware that 'Knocky' could also try the 'unusual' in games .......

..if Kermogant's penalty had gone in he would have been a folk hero - truth is we could still have won it if Waggy had scored ...

You know he's destined to score... ;)

I wasn't entirely impressed on Saturday when playing for Charlton. He's a very.. Well.. I just think he is more interested in elbowing a defender in the face rather than taking the ball down or winning a header.

He dived, fouled and didn't look a threat at all.

However, former players always up their game for their returns and whatever position, they often manage to score.

He already scored past us at their place so hopefully that's all out the way.

<laugh><laugh>.....good old Yann - still got that picture of him by my bed. <ok>

Seriously guys, it's a tough ask playing catch up in this division. Hull have stolen a bit of a march on you because of your cup commitments. Although supporters always point to games in hand when looking at league tables, assuming they'll equate to 3 points each can be very dangerous.

Points in the bin is all that matters. I'm glad to say we've got a bit of a cushion on you and Hull at the moment if things go tits up for a few games.

Haven't been on your board for a while - how are you feeling about the run in?

I think the pressure is on tbf Sparks - you are quite correct that most fans assume that games in hand equal points - our two games in hand are actually away to you and at home to Blackburn - teams to whom we have already lost the corresponding fixtures ... we really need to win tomorrow night because that then turns more pressure on the others in turn - will be very interested in the Hull v Blackburn game ... would take a draw myself as mentioned above (I know others will prefer a Blackburn win) but Blackburn's squad depth and quality has got me nervous I'll admit - they look stronger than Reading were last year and we all know what happened there only too well ...

Saturday was because of Blackburn's exploits, not ours, we had a rest.

It can work in one of two ways. If we assume that we need to win the games in hand, it heaps the pressure on us. But if we can make ground up before playing them, then they give us a bit of breathing space. If Hull don't win tomorrow night (in a tough match) and we do, those games in hand start to look good. Hull are then away for three out of four of their following fixtures.

It appears that confidence is quite low among our fans because of our last two results but personally the Cup match doesn't factor and I'm assuming that the Peterborough game is a blip. I guess we'll find out tomorrow night. I'm still confident but it's getting towards squeeky bum time and doubts inevitably start to creep in...

Yup - Peterborough was a bit of a blip for us too, and they did us at our place not at theirs.

We got over it though, and you just have to put it down as one of those results that you'll always get at Championship level.

Agree with you about Blackburn - I think they could trouble the top 6 before the end of the season. We beat them 4-1 up there but have still got to play them at home.

As well as Hull who have the points in the bag, I see Watford as your major worry for that second spot. (I'm assuming we'll get top of course :emoticon-0105-wink:)

... everybody has been expecting (optimistically hoping perhaps!) that you would suffer a dip in form - but there now seems an inevitability about your scorelines - it will be interesting to see how you fare in the next match if you do lose one but you seem to have the momentum now and every game played seems to put you in a stronger position whilst the rest of us are nabbing points from each other ... I doubt the bookies are still taking odds on you getting promotion ..

The thing is with Cardiff, they're managing to grind out nitty gritty results. Not completely whalloping teams like Leicester and Watford have done (you're 6-0's, 6-1's, 4-0's etc) and it's keeping them up there. They're showing consistency which is key to success in this League. You suffer a dip in form and it can cost dearly but Cardiff have kept a nice cushion away from the rest of the League.

Fosse - from our recent past history, you should still get decent odds.....<laugh>

We played the wurzels on Saturday, played them into oblivion and only won 2-1 (we scored all three goals mind <doh>), but that sort of scoreline has been a feature of our games recently.

With Fraizer Campbell with us now and getting properly match fit, we are going to give someone a serious hammering before long.

Sometimes those narrow wins can keep teams on their toes though, complacency from a big win can often act against you.

His "best" moment on Saturday was when Fuller dived and then played dead. Even if it had been a foul it was a case of nothing more than Fuller going over a player's foot while it was on the ground. Yann decided to go running to the linesman in the opposite half of the pitch pointing over at the motionless Fuller and tapping his upper lip to make out our player had elbowed him or punched him in the face or something. He was an absolute joke, although it wasn't helped that he was playing right wing/left back due to the number 3's incompetence.*

*In the first 2 minutes 30 seconds of the game the number 3 had his pocket picked twice and managed to get nutmegged despite being in possesion and having his legs together. After that his game took a turn for the worse, and when they eventually subbed him the replacement was playing further upfield, they didn't bother rearranging their defence, they just left a gaping hole at left back and it made them more solid. <laugh>

It was the only thing more predictable than Charlton not asking that number 3 to play against Knockaert or Marshall.
