  1. Funny you should say that because I was about to post the exact opposite comment! Despite beating Juventus, Chelsea and Milan on the way, our 2005 CL was nothing but a fluke wasn't it?

Even though Real Madrid are not a great side at all, I would expect them to finish the tie tonight against weak prem opponent's. Even though I think Madrid will murder Manu I hope Manu go through and get Barca in the next round for some proper humiliation.

No attempt to respond to any point, just throw out a typical, unfounded and generalized statement. Bravo. What a forum member you are!

Am I wrong? Last year WAS a fluke. Chelsea where crap. Park the bus and hope their opposition miss sitters is a poor way to progress and win. Never mind relying on your number one striker to dive all day and slow down play. United WERE humiliated the last two times they met Barca, never mind last year when they were embarrassed by the Spanish minnows of Bibao. Arsenal are just **** unless you go back 8 years ago before they became a feeder club.

United deserved their win in 2007 with a top team and Chelsea worthy finalists with their mercenary money dream team - but like I said, the English teams have, imo, deteriorated alot since then and at the same time, the European teams have improved alot; Real, Bayern, Barca, Dortmund and PSG particularly.

Liverpool 2005 I didn't mention because I'll be accused of being biased. We outplayed alot of top teams that year and fought back to win on penalities - rather than parking a bus and hoping they miss and diving along the way. Naturally I'll claim it was deserved, but I'll accept no one from another club would agree with that.

So to wrap up once more; unless we have a top quality team(s) like 2007 (which we don't anymore), English clubs are **** in Europe (see Arsenal every year) completely flukey and cheat (Chelsea last year) or play alright until we meet a semi difficult competition in which case we get made a fool (see United every year since 2007).

Great finish to put Bayern 1-0 up against Arsenal after 7 minutes

Arsenal fans are so bad. Their team is losing 1-0 in a game they need a decent result and tehre's not a peep to be heard from them. The only time you'll hear any noise from Arsenal fans is them booing when they lose.

So much wrong with that goal from an Arsenal point of view. Midfielder tracking back made no attempt to make a challenge, full back stood off and gave the fella 10 yards to pick a cross and Mertesacker actually turned his back on the shot. No wonder Wangers blood pressure is through the roof

Arsenal are being outplayed in every department, only the pace of Walcott looks threatening but his teammates can't keep up either.

Bayern have only conceded 1 goal in 7 previous games and that was a penalty. No hope for Arsenal.

3 yellow cards for Arsenal so far.

If Arsenal score the momentum could still swing but at the moment it's so one sided it's ridiculous. Bayern haven't conceded all year and Arsenal look like they'll concede every 5 mins.

Why does that happen? Teams winning corners/throw ins they shouldn't get in the first place and they score as a result of it. I don't know if it seems to happen more often than it does because commentators always highlight it but it does seem to be quite a regular occurence.
