And your namesake was absolute rubbish. As was the player he replaced, Martin Chivers. :)

Typical. Every youngster seems to think their era was the first. Even if they have a Saints supporting older relative. Well let me tell you. I was the first Saints supporting FOOTBALL supporter in my family. Previous to me, they were all Saints supporting SPEEDWAY fans. In a sense, that's where the sporting history of this city lies, because Saints speedway were bloody good, way better than their football counterparts, and ended up as Champions.

Apologies for the rant. I'm a biker, remember. :)

    Harlem Shake?

Have I lost my sense of humour or is this stuff meant for the simple minded?

It almost certainly is meant for the simple minded, but the simple minded will tell you otherwise.

There's no reason, other than pride, that someone of an intellectual bent can't take pleasure in something silly from time to time.

It might have been funny if it was a one off, I am yet to speak to any of my friends who found it funny though.

Of course we in Britain pride ourselves on only the most intellectual of humour, what what, don't you know...

I saw a Harlem Shake video for the first time yesterday. I didn't find it funny. Sorry if that upsets people.

It is an acquired taste I guess, not your fault if it doesn't appear to be amusing, I hate American sit coms, some people can't live without them, each to there own.

Not at all. Everyone has different tastes. I certainly don't find them all funny.

It would upset me if you implied that only a halfwit could derive any enjoyment from it though.

No one has said that, have they? On The Bus said it is aimed at the simple minded which, though perhaps phrased a little too intolerantly, probably has a lot of truth in it. It doesn't mean only those with a "simple" sense of humour will enjoy it, but those people are probably the target audience. I'd say the same thing about Two Broke Girls, Michael McIntyre's stand-up, and Rob Schneider films.

I didn't say they had. Maybe I'm not making it obvious enough that I agree with you!
