You think what you like then. The fact that you have posted this ^^^^ drivel shows you dont have a clue at all. As for the boycott it would send out the message that we wont stand for such draconian measures without any justification at all. The club should support the supporters on this iissue and for one match the team would understand. Normally you would expect 4000+ City fans to go to the game. I doubt that we have heard the last of this issue yet. I am waiting to hear what WYP havde to say on Burnsys morning show tuesday morning.
Hey Huddersfield fan here. Give you some background here (not HTAFC fault this) We've lost over 500k due to this arses at WYP. Firstly they cancelled our Friday night game against Leeds which was due on telly due to the idiot Leeds fan at Sheffield Weds. Sky wanted the recent Cardiff home game on telly. WYP refused costing us more money. They initially refused the Hull game, but our chairman stated in a recent meeting that the FL was getting on OUR back about it and to find some compromise (so we got this bollocks instead) We are trying to buy back our 40% in the stadium (long story) but there are problems because yep the YEP. They moved the Sheff wed Sat game to 12:30 kick off, even though there has NEVER EVER been any trouble between the sets of fans. We even played at Weds midweek without a hint of it but SYP can manage it. So from a footballing viewpoint, I am 100% behind you boycotting it, it will send a massive message to the footballing community in this country. It is total crap, and just power-mongering from the WYP.
"We have asked for these restrictions to enable us to control the amount of fans attending the match and reduce the level of alcohol consumption, therefore decreasing any risk to the wider public in Huddersfield and reducing the cost of policing such a match for West Yorkshire residents." The decision seems to have been made when the time was changed. The local division will have budgeted to spend an amount for the earlier Ko. Now they will not want to spend more at short notice. So to save money they have decided to reduce the number of visiting fans to match their resources rather than man up. To show the decision is justified, appropriate, proportionate, and necessary they will have done a risk assessment. Rather than say there is no history of incidents at Hull v Huddersfield and so no likely risk they will have said as it is later there is more time for fans to drink therefore likely to be more incidents. Not in any way necessary or reasonable in fact utter bollocks but saves the budget
Can we get our thousands of Eygptian fans to each complain on the wymp complaints site. Tell them it' s the new face book. Wouldnt help but would be funny
I don't understand this at all, it's not like it's a BIG game, as a result the best thing would be for nobody to turn up. I doubt Transpennine Express are happy either, bet they'll lose out
Go on, your points obviously gone over my head so you'll have to break it down to me. How exactly do you intend on getting to the game without travelling on a coach?
Lifted from CI All city fans. Case officer Amanda Jacks at the football supporters federation has requested that all complaints should be sent to her so she can channel them to MP's . This protest is gonna be huge . [email protected]
I'm guessing Wessie police didn't take into account that we have fans around the country I was going to go but that would mean a train journey from Preston to Hull, for a coach back to Huddersfield which i would of passed through, to go back to Hull then sit on the train for 3 hours back to Preston which would once again pass through Huddersfield. The club should of just told the police to **** off and make no tickets available for our fans, instead offer free tickets for the KC and stream it onto the big screen
This is a superb idea. "Dear WYP, I am travelling from Cairo for this match and have already booked my flights and train and I'm now going to have to travel an extra 50 miles all the way to Hull just to go to Huddersfield and then back to Hull before returning to Cairo. P.S. Your face looks like my dick."
Haha brilliant....when you say 'bus' you mean 'prison transport' right? EGDWright & co all in Hannibal Lecter style straight jackets/face masks and wheeled out onto the edge of the Udders pitch to spit at anyone unfortunate to get close enough.
If I were to go to the game, I'd have to go with Tiger Travel anyway, and I have no plans that will need altering as a result of the changes, yet I'm still ****ing furious about this. We should have complained about/to WYP when they moved the game to a 12:45 kick-off in the first place.
I was really looking forward to going to Huddersfield away, but being a Hull fan living in Leeds (only 20 minutes away from the Galpharm) I now won't be able to attend the game. This is nothing short of a disgrace, and any boycott of the game would be completely justified.
Does anyone know anyone at Tigers Travel ? If so, could you arrange for one ( or however many coaches actually travel to Udders and however many coaches are needed) for those coaches to dump their original loads, travel round the block to a rearranged location in Udders to pick up all the supporters who have travelled independently ? They might do it for a quid apiece, as they are there anyway and have to wait for their original cargo after the game to take 'em back to Ull ? Just a thought....
In terms of protests, do the club have any obligation to provide official transport? Why don't they just say they aren't doing it for this game and see where that leaves WYP?
WYP have proved time and time again that they haven't got the minerals to Police football matches, clubs moan how much the police charge to do their job, yet the police also insist how many can attend and how they will arrive. As been stated up to 4000 Hull fans could had attended this game and a lot of pubs would had profited from a full pub of thirsty Tigers(boosting the economy into the bargain). The police dictate that only 1500 can attend in a strictly in and then out manoeuvre costing Huddersfield 2500 possible paying fans, they've restricted Chelsea and Spurs tickets at Leeds this season(2000 each) and continuely **** Millwall fans over when we play Leeds. WYP restrictions cost West Yorkshire clubs more that their actual Police costs, when millions has been spent on Police Intelligence over the years and every club has its own spotters in attendance at every game its doesn't take much intelligence for them to work out what group of fans need an eye kept on them. It seems to me the police are happy to pick up money for their presence when in fact they are not needed, but when theres a game where they might have to do some policing they **** themselves. Boycott the game and maybe Huddersfield might find their bollocks and stand up to them.
