Basically tells me he will be gone in the summer

Thanks albert, You've been an absolute pleasure to watch, and I shall enjoy what little time I have left watching you run down the wing. You will defiantly be missed

Nothing about staying and helping us getting to the Prem next year then, just this

"If they accept a bid, then it will be up to me to say yes or no. But I cannot think about a move to the Championship, because I'm only interested in the Premier League"

"When the time is right for me to move on, I'm sure everyone will know. For now, my best chance of getting into the Premier League is to play well for Bristol City and help keep them in the Championship"

So that's saying I'm here till the Summer and when a prem team comes in I'm off.

Basically rod. Ive accepted the fact were getting relegated. Albert has said he wont take a sidewards step to another championship team. Soon it will be a step up to a championship team. He's saying the things we want to hear but the truth is even if we stay up he will go as we wont get him to sign a new contract.

Still not convinced we will go down as long as Saturday was treated as a lesson to SoD, McInnes downfall was he tried to play defensive with **** defence, it don't work go back to beginning of the season and go gung ho style and score more than them ala Keegan

There is no way Albert was going to stay with us no matter what happened. I still question his commitment to City especially when he disappeared to the African Cup when he was needed here to help our cause, and I'm being totally honest thinking that he went to the Cup to put his skills on show for his next potential employer.

Perhaps if he had stayed for us we could even have won a few more points to help our cause. Commitment my arse.

Perhaps I'm not so cynical as some of you on here. For me Albert is a top man, because he has in my opinion, always been straight with us. He is being honest saying he only wants to move to a Premier club, he has always appeared to give his best while wearing our shirt.

So let's take what he says at face value, enjoy his contributions to our fight to stay up and when he leaves us, as all players do in the end, thank him and wish him well. Frustrating at times but he's brightened our football lives during the last three seasons.

I don't disagree with you Cidered he has up to now been loyal to us. I hope that we don't get to the summer and we have another Maynard situation, hopefully this is him saying I won't sign another extension and sell me when you get the right money for both camps to be happy. But I do worry if he is not gone in the summer because the board dallied around we then get next to nothing of what he's worth.

He is our diamond lets not let him be our cubic zirconia <ok>

Albert is a good player and when on form is very exciting to watch and difficult to defend or stop.

Is he Premiership standard though ? Not for me, and I'm not sure he ever will be. Zaha is another matter.

I dont blame Albert for aspiring to play at the very top level, or buggering off to the African Cup Of Nations. I'd go and represent my country at a major tournament wouldn't you ?

There is little or no loyalty in football today with agents and players largely calling the shots, and therefore I hope our board have learnt their (hard) lesson with what they allowed to happen with the Maynard situation. If we can get around £3m for Albert then we should take it.

Start of the season team played a high line and pressing game but it only worked for a couple of games because the midfield not the defence are not up to it. they have not got it in them to work in packs and hunt down the ball and force mistakes at a high tempo. barnsley bossed city early in the season at this. adomah in particular does very little without the ball in defensive shape, wanders, doesnt track runners and is poor at closing the ball down. He is not the only one inj the midfield this season who has not done enough going backwards.

saturday they sat too deep allowed cardiff to play in only 30% of the pitch and ended up at times with a line of seven and eight across the box with no options to get out. centre of midfield was bossed all game meaning city stayed deep.

O'driscolls improvement has been based on drilling organisation into them and that is where the possibility of staying up lies. get compact as a team, get organised do not go charging up the pitch leaving team mates 1 v 2 & 3!!

Yes it has been an improvement but although Albert as you say does not help the defence directly he occupies several of the opposition players because they are afraid to give him room and space and he also gives an outlet to relieve pressure after all when he has the ball we are not under attack and the opposition have got things to worry about, therre is no reason why we shouldnt play Adomah one side and Anderson the other it might just be what we need have the opposition worrting about us instead of vice versa but we need someone else or two at the back the problem is getting them to come here.

Adomah is a problem player all season midfiled has been weak. there is every reason he might be on the bench and it is city have dramaticaly improved without him. wasnt a suprise to some as he is a liability without the ball because full backs behind him are left exposed. adomah does not at times follow his 1 v 1 when they have the ball. this is something o'driscoll when you listen to him may not want as it will not fit in with his team ethic of teammates covering team mates. no gung ho .. its a team game.

blokes that gifted dont have to be a luxury. bellamy saturday was a managers dream good with the ball and a team man without it. that is an example of what Adomah needs to add to the skill set to make it up another level.

Bellamy has been arround a lot longer and played at a higher level Albert on the other hand was a cut above the other players in Non League and when at Barnet, so he was used to being the 'main man' since arriving in the championship he has continued to improve and iff he takes in S O'D's philosophy will only get better.

It must also be said that he probably has another 6 years in which to maximise his potential, then he joins the ranks of footballers without a career or an income. Thats a very short percentage of his life span where he can earn proper money. Then he will possibly struggle.

Now I ask you, what kind of a fool would pass up the opportunity of moving up the ladder for any Championship club, even from your home town (and Adomah is not from Bristol). He has a short shelf life, and for the sake of his family has to reach for the stars.
I am grateful he chose City, as I am for Maynard. Both players have been superb for us, and if our successsion of managers had spent wisely on other areas of the team we could have seen them playing for us in the Premiership.
Of course Adomah will move on, of course Maynard wanted Premiership football.
Only a prize A-Hole would want anything else

Discipline and a bit more work and Albert is very good player. Might give him a incentive seeing that City have been better without him.

He would have a better chance of seeing Prem football going to Palace and linking up with Yannick again, rather than staying on this listing hulk thats for sure...
