Wenger has had ups and downs at Arsenal but I'm keen to known what the general consensus is and what side of the fence you are on regarding his position as Arsenal manager.

I understand its a sensitive issue and I don't want to make Piskie, CYM or SJW's job harder than it already is so I'd prefer votes and comments kept to a minimum. I am only making votes public to act as a decipher to the Manc WUMs that will inevitably poke their nose in and vote.

There should be a third more moderate option though, a sort of inbetween.

Isn't it more of a sensitive issue that that since Wenger has been in charge of Arsenal, Chelsea have had 9 managers. Yes 9 managers. What does it matter to you what we think other than to create a bad atmosphere on our board.

Sometimes the chavs really get on my nerves.

If he finishes in the top 4, I wouldn't be too angry if he was given the summer to buy players to help us improve. If he doesn't buy big names, and the season gets off to a bad start, he should leave in December 2013.

If he finishes outside of the top 4, he should leave immediately because he had the opportunity to strengthen in January and decided against it (other than a LB replacement for Gibbs). That's as clear a failure as anything.

So I guess I'm more in the WOB, but won't vote for lack of options.

He just wants to get the general opinion of the Arsenal board. He's not here on the Wind-Up or anything.

I dont really fit into either category. I would rather Wenger stayed but...

I just think Wenger has to change his approach and the board have to make him do it.

Arsenal as a Club need to send out the message that a Top Four finish is not worth celebrating and that we have higher ambitions.

agree with wanting a moderate option. don't want to kick him out, but if we don't achieve something this season (champs league or 4th place) i want him out

Sure but also you would have to admit they've achieved ALOT more and will look back at this period in time with fondness. 3x League titles, A Champions League trophy during a period where we have won nothing.

I dont think Chelsea fans are upset that they've changed managers.

Arsenal fans should maybe start to realise the Club is bigger than Arsene Wenger. (i voted for Arsene to stay btw)

    Your too tribal.

I'm disconsolate about the state my club is in. Do you really think I am here to poke fun and have a wind up?

I've spoken to Arsenal fans I know and it is split, I just wanted to know if that was reflected on an online forum.

    Seriously, chill out.

I used to share your view but i can't see Wenger making any more improvements to our team. He has taken us as far as he can take us. As for buying players, he has had the budget for a couple of years, but has failed to buy any big players. Evidence suggests that he won't do it next season. Also, do you honestly believe that we will dramatically change things next year? It will be the same thing we see now, but we will be struggling more with an improved Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea side next season.

Has Wenger lost his edge, hell yes he has. Wenger of the past would never have lost to 2 far inferior teams in a row. Crashing out of the FA cup at home against a poor Blackburn side should tell you all that you need to know. Don't even get me started on the other team we lost to. Change his name from Wenger to Houlier, and his ass would have been grass ages ago.

Regardless though, if we can get Pellegrini in the summer, we should.

I think those who want rid of Wenger are mad. 8 years without a trophy and 9 with out a title and people are going mad?

You were formed in the 1880's and won your first trophy in 1930 - almost 50 years without a trophy.

Between your championship winning side in the early 1950's and the one in 1989 you won just ONE title in 36 years. In total, during those 36 years you won 1 title 2 FA Cups and 1 League cup.

You won 5 titles in the 1930's ... until wenger arrived over 60 years later you won another 4 (1 in the 40's, 50's, 70's and 80's) ... in the 17 years of wenger's reign you've won another 4.

    Has won 4 out of your 10 FA cups...you won 2 in the 30's, 1 in the 50's, 2 in the 70's and 1 in the 90's.

Between 1971 and 1987 you won the FA Cup...1 trophy in 16 years.

This weekends reaction to losing to Blackburn reeks of plastic fans throwing a tantrum. You lot complaining and demanding Wenger are acting spoilt.

You demand loyalty by players and managers then show none when it's difficult for a few years....and by difficult I mean you "only" get to come in the top 3 or 4.

And saying ... "well we are Arsenal so we expect more" just adds to my argument. It is supposed to be Arsenal til you die not Arsenal until we go a few years with out a trophy!

Personally I hope you get rid of Wenger cos it'll leave you ****ed. Like I said ... it's none of my business but it is worth looking at the HISTORY...the WHOLE HISTORY of your club before throwing a hissy fit.

Lol, we seem to have an influx of fans from other boards wanting to put their two cents in today.

Don't see what the problem is really. Sometimes fans of other teams can see a situation more objectively than a fan who is caught up in the business of being a supporter.

I think rival fans saying they'd like to see Wenger sacked is very revealing.

Most people looking at this situation objectively will see that Wenger is still one of the best coaches in Europe.

Don't worry im here with my 2 cents as well :)

I also think it would be madness to sack Wenger this year even if you do come fifth, though i would be considering it as an option if you go two seasons in a row outside the top 4.

It must be difficult for you as fans though simply because you seem split on who to blame. By that i mean is it Wenger holding back and making signings to late or is the board holding him back with a lack of investment? I get the feeling no one really knows the answer to that.
