I don't know if you watched the MOTD-extra last night between Liverpool and Swansea and in particular the after match "chat". Well, if the wooden Michael 'I've prepared it beforehand, so I'll ask it anyway' Owen and Jamie Kaaaragherrr are being groomed to eventually replace the current lot ........... ........ bring on Gentleman Jim, I say please log in to view this image
Carragher definitely is getting groomed for punditry, there was all sorts of talk of it in the media after he announced his retirement. No plans to join the backroom staff at Liverpool either...
Oh please say it isn't so. How can the BBC continue to hire ex players from the same club? Personally I'd watch MoTD every single week without fail if they had an unbiased and intelligent pundit on there, which most, if not all weeks, they rarely do. Danny Murphy and Lee Dixon to replace the current lot please. I also don't believe in doing punditry while you're still a player, as it takes away time you perhaps need to train/gain fitness, and in Michael Owen's case, he needs all the time he can get. What an absolute waster of a man. He is the ONLY thing Piers Morgan has ever been right about.
Hang on, you realise Murphy is still playing - right? Agreed about the need to introduce some younger, intelligent pundits. BBC should be tapping up Murphy now, otherwise he'll end up in management and we'll be left with Lawro for the rest of time...
He is indeed, but at a lower level than Owen, not to mention the fact he is quite a bit older too. The fact is that Owen still considers himself as a professional football while also trying his hand at horse racing and punditry, you can't be more than one of them. He should just accept the fact that he is no longer a professional footballer and hasn't been for quite some time. I absolutely cannot stand the man.
Hear-Hear. Couldn't agree more. The arrogance of not going down leagues when he is clearly no longer able to cut it at the top level is staggering.
George Co-Hen is predicting a home win against Stoke City on Saturday. Could really do with our mystic chicks being right yet again! Chicks Predict - Stoke City
Hardly worth posting, but the latest LWB.... Fulham are teetering a bit with just one win in the last five games, and now lie only six points above the relegation zone. Luckily for them, Stoke aren't great away. It's a strange one for the Potters. At home they are absolutely fine and for a team with a capacity of nearly 30,000, they've done really well in the league over the years. But the next step for manager Tony Pulis is to get them to start winning away - so far they've managed just one victory on their travels all season. I think this one is Fulham's though. It's one of those games in which I think they'll create chances. They lost Mousa Dembele and Clint Dempsey in the summer (GS: Yawn! Yawn! Yawn!) - a big blow because they scored goals from midfield - and the Cottagers have not really been able to replace them, but I expect them to defeat their visitors on Saturday. Lawro's prediction: 2-1
They lost Mousa Dembele and Clint Dempsey in the summer (GS: Yawn! Yawn! Yawn!) - a big blow because they scored goals from midfield it says it all about the Bollock doesnt it, Yes Dempsey did score goals for us, but Dembele didnt he got what 7 goals for us? im not knocking the player he was great at everything else, it just shows even more that LW doesnt do his home work,
To underline the stupidity of Lawrenson's comments there, Danny Murphy (also a midfielder, just in case Lawro doesn't know who Murphy is) actually scored more goals last season than Dembele did the last two (six). He also left in the summer, but Murphy doesn't fit into the two things Lawro knows about Fulham: 1) We lost Dempsey & Dembele in the summer and 2) Signed Berbatov.
Yeah he got 5 in the league but also got 2 in the cup one of them against Port Vale if I'm correct. If not I apologise. Lol

Despite Sunderland being "run-of-the-mill", which is a mystery to the Bollock, he reckons they'll beat us. But then Fulham are away so there's no need to actually consider that it's only the Manchester teams which have beaten them since January.
Classic Lawro. Hardly a good word to say about Sunderland, but we're away so we'll lose. Where's the logic?! Mind you, he's up against Piers Morgan; it's like the Axis of Evil!
One could be forgiven for not knowing anything about Fulham - Ah! but then again this proves he doesn't. While not going to Sunderland last season (we lost) I went the previous 2 years and saw us win 3-0 and a boring 0-0 - both occured when we were getting nonthing on-the-road. And I think Sunderland were the worst team I've seen at The Cottage. COYW
