A breach of the rules. Yet again. And yet again nothing will be done. We are represented on the Union Jack because we were, at the time of its inception represented by England. It was 'slewed in their favour' Mabon because of unequivocal history, whether you like it or not. I've said it before, if Welsh soldiers come home in coffins draped in the Union flag then that's good enough for me. We play in the English leagues but the trouble is like so many of my countrymen you want at your cake and you want to eat it. Then again I suppose you'd like to see us in the LOW. We are where we are because we play in the English pyramid system and will (even if this is unpalatable to some) be representing that pyramid in Europe if we win. End of story.
There's been a lot of anger and debate on here this afternoon debating the football and whether ML got his selection and tactic etc correct or wrong and has all been done in a friendly and respectful manner so I find this comment Dragon a little below the belt and unwarranted.
Dai, I have to say I'm I'm agreement with what you say. Who cares about anything but winning the final. Two of my mates going with me are English and I would be really embarrassed if our fans boo the English anthem when it's played before the game. Also, I've read through your postings and lately they've been excellent. I think you called today's game spot on too, we shouldn't have put such a weak team out. I think you are taking this just a little bit too seriously, and it doesn't matter if you like the situation or not... our Welsh club is representing the English FA that governs domestic leagues and cups that cater for the extreme majority of English based clubs. The flag that Swansea will be flying will be that of the FA, which is the English flag. If you are not happy about that, and I can tell immediately that you are on the verge of being violently unhappy with that, then Swansea City should leave the Premier League with immediate effect and never again play in the League Cup and FA Cup. If any person would prefer that, then I would politely ask them to **** off. My team is in the English league and represents the English. I am Welsh and so is my club. I am sure of my identity, it matters little that my team cannot carry Cardiff's flag (Cardiff's flag? I meant the Welsh flag... wait, what is the difference, WAG only cares about Cardiff!) into the Europa League next season.

Well obviously you would - if you achieve access to European competition via the English League Cup, and play in the English Premier League, it's a fair bet you will have to be there with an English flag. Of course, to avoid this international travesty, Swansea could resign from the English structure and join the Welsh League. Any takers?
