I am seriously pissed off by this. I already bought my train tickets to get some cheap advance fares. I don't suppose I will be seeing that money again.

If you're serious about the pub thing, I reckon I could talk a few to make the trip just to make a point.

I have lived in Huddersfield for over a decade and have never known the police do anything like this before even with TWS or Bradford or Oldham but they have in the past forced city centre pubs to close on matchdays.

Happy Birthday OLM should be a good party

I think all the people on here who were hoping to go independently should write to the club explaining their plans(even though they say they have done everything they can) and complain to the Police and anyone else they can think of. People have posted genuine reasons on here as to why it is not convenient for them to travel on the Tiger Travel coaches and it is disgusting that they will be banned from watching the game live when we traditionally have good away support.

I've just complained on the police site, not that it will do any good.

I think the Club should send all the tickets back to HTFC.

I don't know if it's still the same, but when I was at uni, The Crown on Westgate ( https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=hu...oW78u_FMKkfCmITnqxJEkQ&cbp=12,150.76,,0,-6.79) would always put City games on for me, even when other pubs declined "because the rugby is on".

I was really looking forward to this game.

Though will almost certainly avoid now, given the restrictions. I much prefer to travel independently, don't want to be stuck on a coach. I'm back in Hull when this game is being played, but there is a good chance I could have been coming from the other side of the Pennines, which would mean a trip back to Hull (going through Huddersfield), before getting a coach back to Huddersfield, watching the game, a coach back to Hull, and then a trip back over the Pennines via Huddersfield. What a joke.

We would probably have taken a big following there as well.

    Aye, let's go continental!

By the way OLM, i'm game for this pub thing if you're being serious. I'd just need someone to give me a lift there.

Well it solves a dilemma for me - after watching City do well at the old Leeds Road ground my two away matches at the Galpharm have been disasterous defeats. I wasn't sure about jinxing City for a third time and now my decision has been made for me.

If the club has done everything they can I think they should refuse the tickets rather than spend money subsidising the travel. We should make a stand.

I also believe that we should bombard the WYP website complaint page.

I hope the bad run of results at the McAlpine/ Galpharm ends this season. Don't want us to be thrashed again like we did on our last 2 occassions, especially not on the telly as well.

I wholeheartedly agree. If people keep buying tickets then they'll keep doing it. Im serious when I say we call for a fans boycott.

I imagine that the Sky money outweighs anything that we could generate for them on a matchday?

If so, making a stand may be less powerful, though would still have an effect if it received media attention.

I assume that you're forced to buy a Tiger Travel ticket with your match ticket?

    Even you. <ok>

There's a fair few on Twitter pushing the idea of a full boycott, including Amber Nectar and Rick Skelton, the Mail and Humberside also seem to be on the case. I've contacted the club and asked the press office if there's any chance of us refusing an allocation completely, but I doubt they'll respond until they've gauged the feeling a bit more.

I'll hold off on the pub idea until we know what the club are going to do, I suspect it's unlikely to work and we'd just get kicked out as soon as they realised who we were, though I have to say, the idea of showing up the farce of the situation by doing something like that does appeal to me greatly.

Most of them do, and because it's a student town you can get a pint for less than £2.50 almost everywhere.
