Lets be honest I make the horse whisperer sound sane!

I also have some really good links on twitter that get me news 2-3 days earlier than the British sites get sometimes. Like for example McLaren and IRBR doing a promotional run at Jerez the day after actual testing, so testing very new parts would be the reason for doing this as well. Never got mentioned on any other site let alone get any pictures to see if anything changed on the car.

To be honest we need to get a mantle thread for our success being used as a reference point for experts ;)

So far I got Lewis, Horner and Brundle to respond or quote what I said. <ok>

Brundle and Crofty both read here. I have no doubt. Also Im sure Andrew Benson reads here too and loving our cheeky digs at him. (check the photoshop picture thread [off topic]. I made 1 for you Benson! <ok>)

I don't think they'll ever get Alonso on Top Gear. Clarkson's just too much of a Hamiton/McLaren fan to not be an asshole about 2007

I'd love to see Romain go on and Clarkson just ramble on in explicit detail about his crashing. It won't be named Gambon Corner after Grosjean's finished with it! <laugh>

I'd love to see them get 2 F1 drivers on at the same time, whether they're team-mates, or whatever. I'm surprised they didn't try it when Button and Hamilton were together, as that would probably have been ideal for Top Gear.

I reckon they might get Perez on in the next series now that he's at Mclaren. I'd like them to get Massa on though.

Problem is that Top Gear is so big now that a large share of their audience are probably not typical petrolheads/Motorsport fans. As a result you are unlikely to see the likes of Massa/Grosjean unless they win a world title. And if they did go on now I am willing to bet that most people watching won't have a clue who they are or know little about them, which is why we will just continue to see Button/Hamilton/Vettel over again as they are familiar to the audience.

As for Alonso, I'm sorry but he seems way too uptight a guy to go on there. There needs to be a bit of banter and some jokes in the interview like we saw with Lewis yesterday and when Vettel went on there, I cannot imagine Alonso being so laid back.

    Interesting comment on PlanetHamilton:

    muller says...
I work near the TopGear site and saw Hamilton practice and drive all day, didn't know the lap time until last night. Preferential treatment springs to mind, he drove round virtually all day, makes sense now that he kept going until he eventually got the lap record, it's all a fix chaps! Perhaps they felt sorry for him knowing he won't win anything else for the foreseeable future?

Not that I agree with the last bits... but by looking at the video it does look like early evening when he finally crosses the line, so him driving all day doesn't sound so far fetched as it seems now. If he is saying the truth of course!

    http://transmission.blogs.topgear.com/2013/02/18/behind-the-scenes-with-lewis-hamilton/

LH: "Car has got a bit quicker than the last time I drove it, might be because it was dry." "Feel I got another 5BHP from the engine with the weather."

Nick Dalton: "Little bit colder today as well." - Nick Pretty much admits it there that they have been practicing in my opinion with a comparison to a different day recently, but it depends how you read it.

From a british point of view he may seem cold and uptight but thats how he has been shunned away by the media.

Ive seen a few programs with him on similar programs in spain and he seems a very relaxed guy with a great sence of humour more in the style of Vettel.

In all honesty Alonso and Lewis are more likely the people I would want to hang around with rather than Seb outside of F1. Seb likes being the lone wolf and I cheat at monopoly <laugh>
