Hull City Official ‏@hullcityteam As a result of this change, our home fixture v Watford, originally set for Mon 1 April, has been moved to Tue 2 April (KO 7.45pm) I'm out in Manchester after the Udders game, they've messed my plans right up now.
Why dont we ever get the early Saturday slot on Sky? The evening kick-offs are a real pain in the arse for me.
They are also only allowing 1500 tickets to go on sale to city fans. And to top it all off you can only go if you travel on official coaches. What a shower of ****.
Due to the late kick-off time, West Yorkshire Police have issued the following stipulations for which Hull City AFC and its travelling supporters must adhere to: - Only 1,500 tickets will be made available to Hull City supporters - Away supporters are only permitted to travel to the John Smith's Stadium using the club's official 'Tiger Travel' transport. - Disabled supporters will be allowed to travel to the game independently from Tiger Travel, providing they are only accompanied by their sole carer. While the Club understands that this is disappointing news for supporters, we would like to make it clear that every opportunity to negotiate a better deal for our fans has been taken. West Yorkshire Police had originally only allocated 1,000 tickets for Tigers fans, and had only made those 1,000 tickets available exclusively to Season Card holders. Club officials then met with representatives of West Yorkshire Police, The Football League and Huddersfield Town last week in an attempt to move away from the restrictions imposed. Whilst West Yorkshire Police have allocated an extra 500 tickets for Hull City supporters and extended those being able to purchase tickets from just Season Card holders to the Club's database, they have refused to alter their stance on travel arrangements meaning that all Hull City supporters must travel on the official Tiger Travel coaches. The Club has therefore moved to subsidise the cost of the journey by reducing each supporter's Tiger Travel ticket to just £10 each. Details with regards to the sale of the match and coach tickets for this fixture together with details of coach pick up points will be published in due course. As a result of this change of kick-off time, Hull City's fixture at home to Watford, originally set for Monday 1st April 2013, has been moved to Tuesday 2nd April 2013, with a kick-off time of 7.45pm.
Exactly - I provide on-call cover for work but would have been able to persuade a colleague to cover a few hours Sat afternoon for the Huddersfield game. No chance Sat evening though. I had a free Easter Monday and was planning the Watford game as part of it. But Tues evening on a work night from over this way is very difficult.
So what they're telling me, is that I have to pay £30 to get back to Hull, to pay a tenner to get to Huddersfield to go to a game 10 minutes from my house? Absolute ****ing joke.
Well I was considering going, but that's fooked it up. Will have to settle with watching it on TV instead.
So what about us non Hull based fans living in Wessie-land? Under this ruling instead of my 2nd nearest game of the season (after TWS) I now have to drive to Hull to come back again on a coach? A 20 minute journey is now going to take more than 3 hours. What a set of ****s.
The club have obviously tried to reason with the police, and the police have said the only way we're going to be allowed 1,500 tickets is if we all go on Tiger Travel.
I propose a Man City at Emirates style boycott. We need to stand firm and show that we wont be treated like this and on the plus side we get to see the game on telly anyway. Zero fans at Udders!!
Seems like this is the best situation the club could get from the police, which says how reasonable the police have been.
We are ****ed then. We lost against Wednesday & Brighton (both blue and white stripes) on a Saturday night at 5.20pm. Send someone down to their ground to nick their home kit. ****ing Sky. When my subscription ends that'll save me £27 per month. Let's give that Campbell a souper welcome tomorrow night. He might be too chicken to play against us. If he does make sure he does'nt get mushroom. I hope the twat ends up like a vegetable. or he gets stood on and his cock is all leaky. Come on City, come on city.
