I don't mind watching the rugby world cup - always in the somewhat vain hope that Scotland will finally perform:biggrin:

As to the Super 15, it's known as the Super 1 where I come from - Queensland Reds and 14 other also rans <laugh>

I think Lincoln and Workington would disagree with you!

Nope- we did not "steal" we approached them and it was negotiated - Reading got Rodger without our consent. All clubs can stand losing a manager to a bigger club and in the right circumstances

Have to admit, am looking forward to the Rugby World Cup. Rugby is my 2nd sport and enjoy following it as well.... Have been to New Zealand and South Africa on British Lions tours, and considering Australia in 2013. We have chatted to our 'local' seeing if he will be opening up early for the games, with a positve answer :)

It's crazy but have never been to an England game at Twickers. Been to stadiums in SA and NZ, been to Murrayfield to see Scotland v Australia (house mate is Scottish) and been to a few grounds in England (Mainly London ones, including Twickers for club rugby), just never been to see England at HQ!

Plateball anyone? Back in about 1980, a friend and I invented a game using two plastic dinner plates, a soft ball, and a row of chairs across the staff room. The rules were a cross between tennis, lacrosse and pool and I became the first and only official world champion by the impressive margin of 47-29. The game had a short history...older folk sitting round the edges of the room complained it interfered with their knitting. It does mean I've been undisputed world champion for more than thirty years. Impressive, eh?

Well my summer is going to spent on the golf course, weather permitting (fair weather golfer) but a game from my childhood was 'nearest the wall' where you used to flick a coin nearest the wall and the nearest person kept the coins. We were not great gamblers, but it was a bit of fun whilst waiting for a bus etc! And if your still after players for the All Star team, I will give it a go with Norway at Centre Half, at 6ft 2 it will give extra height to the team, but I won't be running around too much. My motto if they try and get past bring em down, a little trip or a pull of the shirt!

Hockey was my game of choice, used to play at a reasonable standard before I gave it up about 10 years ago! Used to play every position from GK to CF and was even known to take a run down the wing when required!
