Remember Jackett beating Zola to manager of the month in November - since then their league record is won 2 drawn 3 and lost 7
http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10233537.Zola_expects_Deeney_to_stay_at_Watford/ The question in his agents mind has to be can I get a slice of a premier league wage?
It's been said before, but he's a different player from last season. Work rate, the partnership with Vydra, his confidence, touch and attitude.
Looks like salary packages are much better under the new regime... .investing for the future etc etc...
Another game rescheduled. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10235085.Watford_s_Easter_Monday_game_rescheduled/
I don't think Deeney will leave. How many better paying clubs than Watford play two up top? And how many of those would realistically want Troy? After Doyley, and with honourable mentions to Yeates and Hoban, Troy has been the surprise package out of the old-timers under Zola. If we go up I wouldn't bet against him keeping his place. But if we don't, I'm not sure how much further up the pyramid he can climb.
It's not often I get to complain about this sort of thing, but I had actually planned to go to this match - in spite of a journey of 13 hours on a train and 5 hours on a bus. Now to go I have to throw in a night's accommodation somewhere. Can't be bothered now. Bloody FL - they never even consulted Watford apparently.
This game has been rescheduled at Hull's request because they are on TV a couple of days beforehand and will not kick off until 1 day and 2 hours after Watford start. The FL agreed to it, with no consideration for the people who have already booked train tickets. I know how you feel BB. It takes a fair bit of planning for me to get to games and ferries and hotels need to be booked well in advance if I want reasonable prices. We are coming over this weekend, but these things have been booked for several weeks. If there was a last minute change all of this would be wasted. Not good enough FL. Take account of the fans for once.
I just fired off an email to [email protected] (Federation of Football Supporters) asking for advice on whether or not the decision can be reversed. I don't suppose they have too much weight in these matters, but if enough people do the same, you never know.
this has peeved a lot of people. We will have a much smaller support on a tuesday night than we would have had on Bank Holiday Monday. Shame on Hull, but clever!
Thats beyond a joke! How is it a farce? We have dont nothing wrong! In fact its pretty clever that we know the rules inside out like that. People are just scared because it has bought us success at no real cost. They should be worried about other clubs who have been buying in foreign players for years and even went long periodw without fielding an englishman. The fact that we took JJ to Birmingham with us and have continued to field homegrown talent shoulc be commended, but the seem to be ignorant to that fact.
they think all the 'loanees' are youth players..they haven't done any research at all, it's utterly pathetic!
Interesting peice in the WO. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10229933._My_move_to_Watford_was_harder_for_my_wife_/ First real indication in it as to who is paying our legion of loanees.
i adore Cassetti! Every week he's amazing and on Saturday he was my MoM... i don't think we thought any different on the 'who pays the loanees' front, but it's good know for sure... A class player and by all accounts, a lovely bloke, i hope we get another season out of him...
