Seeing as it's a tad quiet tonight, I'll add the second and last contest of this month tonight <ok>

The question, who was better for us... Enrique, or Scott Parker?

Liked them both when they were here but went off them after they left.

On Jose, is it because he looks a bit rodent-ish?

Still, seemed to take it quite well when he went in goal <laugh>

Also, his drawing of the Liverbird is frankly amazing...

Hmm, tricky one Gandalf. Like them both as players, but think Jose just shades it for me personally. If it were based on what do we need right now, then I'd go for Enrique. A decent left footed left back in the current squad would be great. And he can actually defend as well as get forward. Parker is good, but our central midfield options are quite strong now.

Both were alright. I'm still baffled at the decision to sell Parker and buy Barton.

Parker easily for me. Did the simple things well, 100% effort. Was consistently better than Tiote has been (except when he was ill) yet people slagged him off then sucked Tiote off for doing exact same things. Parker never pissed around with the ball on the edge of our box.

    Jose.

I despise Parker with a passion since I witnessed him verbally abusing a young kid who gave him some stick. Parker was playing ****e that day too.

Jose can also pass forwards whereas Parker couldn't.

I always thought Parker was always played without adequate help, his midfield partner was always pretty bad, be it Amdy Faye or whoever else....
We know he's a holding midfielder, but at times I believe he was required to provide some attacking flair which was never his strong point. I could be wrong , as my memory of that era wasn't too good (had other commitments then)

Also, Jose's last half of season for us was absolutely atrocious. He was absolutely dominant in the first half and I only remember him being beaten once, by Adam Johnson who cut inside him and scored a curling effort for Man City, but that was about it. The second half of the season he held onto the ball ridiculously trying to take on a player when it was better to have just passed it....

Just some thoughts on these 2 playerss

But Jose couldn't square dance like Parker.

I chose Parker myself. I think he's a very good player and a completely committed die-hard type, which always gets the crowd pumped. As far as I'm concerned, he was a bright spark in a very poor side most of the time, just as he was at Charlton.

As a man, I have no real comments of him because I personally haven't seen him do anything wrong... But he does have a squeaky girly voice <ok>
