it might of been my imagination but he had a right old f*ck you lot look on his face as lamps came off
Lamps can't 'blame' anyone but himself if we don't offer him a contract. He has been instrumental in getting rid of at least 3 managers. I'm not saying they didn't deserve it but it's not his decision to make. We will presumably be appointing another come the summer,do we ask Lamps to make the choice or does RA just hope Frank likes him and won't cost us more millions in compo again? Frank is a legend but he's not bigger than the club but he thinks he is and we can't keep bowing to players whims. They are paid handsomely to play football to the best of their ability not pick and choose who and when they put effort in for.
In many ways I agree with you but disagree as to where the blame lies. The blame lies firmly with RA, he was the one that introduced that culture into the club and his close relationship with the players undoubtedly undermined previous Chelsea managers. Drogba's (lack of) effort was disgraceful under Scolari and one of the main reasons he was sacked. Mikel was the same under Scolari and AVB as was Cole. However instrumental Lampard has been in managerial sackings he has always remained professional and produced the goods more often than not. Players have and always will continue to get managers sacked, sad indictment of football and sport in general.
Roman always looks lugubrious, whatever happens on the pitch! I think he'll cave in an give Super Frank more time at the Bridge!
I dunno, I think it's all just conjecture' based on rumours, based on tabloid headlines. If enough tabloids accuse FSW and Terry of falling out, and keep on doing it for the rest of the season, then maybe we'll actually start believing it. Worse, FSW and Terry might start believing it.
That's how the media works, as Joseph Goebbels infamously said “If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth. ”
