Shotton - doing your club no good with comments like that. Only one idiot called Liverpool a team of has-beens and most of us know he's a plonker so less generalisations please.

Lverpool beat what was put in front of them, and did it really well. Try and be a tad more gracious. <applause>

Oh, and you won't get anywhere near CL - you do know that, right?

that was his first ever post and is clearly a WUM, please don't associate him with us <ok>

You lot deserved it, all the big talk prior to the match, wonder where all those ****s went now. You called us 'has beens', i'd rather call it under-performing, where as you lot have clearly been overachieving in the past two seasons, i don't envy that, but keep your expectations intact. Some of you even thinking about top 4 huh :D nothing wrong about aiming high, alteast know the difference when a club like Liverpool aspire to be in the top 4 and some small team from Wales thinking of CL.

Oh and someone mentioned this game as an embarrassment, i'd definitely be embarrassed if it was anything less than 3-0 against this little's team so-called reserve side.

Like you were against WBA or Stoke or Villa or us in the cup? <whistle>

Who was that?

Usual hysteria from the usual suspects. If you're so great why aren't you managing a team?

No, thought not.

Managers - even the excellent Laudrup - can make mistakes. Shock, horror, the guy is human after all. His mistake wasn't team choice but was probably actually having faith in second string players who as it turned out simply aren't that good.

Credit to Liverpool is being forgotten here. A much improved side that I predicted would win today (though not by 5). They'll finish above us in all probability but who cares? Look at the resources and the money they've spent. For us, a top half finish and Europe through a Cup win will do nicely. <ok>

Sorry but your talking bo----ll------cks! Dai has summed it up well, and clearly has more grasp of the situation than you do, We made Liverpool look like Barcelona!.......................<ok>

5 - nil to Liverpool in this one.
They've won 18 league titles. Several European cups, FA Cups, League Cups. That makes them the better team right now.

:emoticon-0138-think

am sure its already been pointed out but <laugh> anyways. How right you were<ok>

Liverpool will take this for what it was. No big deal winning against a half hearted Swans side

Sorry about the generalization, but some of them clearly pissed me off. You lot do have a bunch of decent fans that know their place. Just pisses me mightily when of all the clubs, it's the swansea bunch who comes out and calls us hasbeens.

Pick a scenario Dai,

A) Pick a full side and beat Liverpool today and pick up a few injuries to key players that will rule them out of the cup final

or

B) Rest the majority of the 1st team and lose to Liverpool and go to Wembely with a fully fit squad bar Chico and Neil of course<ok>

But its not an either or scenario, is it?

I'd understand if you had a fragile player that picked up injuries often, and that you'd rest him for a game like this, but players like Michu, Williams, Dyer and Rangel who have virtually been ever present wherever they've played over the last 3 or 4 seasons? Its highly unlikely that 2 or 3 of them would pick up injuries in the same game, isn't it?

I dont understand why there should be a choice...we could have easily played our strongest side to day and made a game of it and have a weeks rest and played our strongest side against bradford...what is the problem. we dont rest players in the league and they sometimes play mid week as well....i just think you are trying to find an excuse valley when there is not one there..laudrup made a cock up and we were heavily punished that saw our goal difference take a battering and could lose the club millions...

I agree with this, but we have to accept what Laudrup has done here, but I'm not sure if the FA will look at this, as I'm sure Wolves got fined for fielding a very weakened team some seasons back!............<ok>

Dragon Phil:

Not really worked because of the win, that was more or less expected. But the fashion we won it must really shut some of those big mouths in here. Not meaning to generalize again, but you especially have been an extraordinary prick. Though i wouldn't expect you to shut your mouth anytime, you were the one talking of top4 next season yeah? :D :D

Look there is no excuse laudrup has fooked up today, he should have put his strongest squad out today and his strongest squad out next week, fair enough if we had better players as back up we could have made a game of it but all today has done is highlight how light we are as a squad in the quality department after our first 11, in fact i am quite concerned as to our strength in depth as a squad. That has been blown out of the water after todays performance at anfield or lack of shall i say. Bradford, wembley and it being a one off who knows

i also suspect thee will be a few free transfers being shipped out in the summer

And Blackpool did vs Aston Villa. Even though they only lost 3-2 to an 89th minute goal.

Fine on the way for you IMO if the FA are being consistent. It isn't fair because as they are saying in that article how can the FA call it a weakened team? They ask people to submit a squad of 25 players, they shouldn't really be interfering with team selection, but because they've set a precedent they'll have to fine you now for it.

Your first post I see and if this pathetic offering is representative of what you have to offer, I wouldn't bother doing any more. FYI, this was the first time that Liverpool has beaten us in the Premier League and let's not forget the win in the League Cup - not bad for a small team from Wales. And yes, we did play our "so-called" reserve team today in that six of our usual starting eleven..... didn't.

Try learning from some of your wiser and better fellow Liverpool supporters who, aware of the circumstances, have made some very decent posts today. Well done them. Also try to understand, if you are able, that good banter is always acceptable but another cyber warrior who can only post sneering condescension, is about as welcome as a fart in a space suit on this board.

Such drama oh my goodness!.....................<laugh>

Can't believe that mabon wants Huw not to try and get ML on an extended contract!! we're in our first major final - in the top half of the Premier own the buy of the season and he screws up one time and it's off with his head.
Other than the disregard for the fans ( which I'm sure he did with the best of intention) I don't mind his decision.
I would have been so p*ssed off if the headlines were
Michu out from hamstring Ash sent off for being close to Brian Phelps (old guys will remember) Leon reinjures himself.

And how long you lot even been in PL ? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

you played you reserve side and got what you deserved, be happy the score line wasn't much worse, as it easily could have been

I never call any player a reserve player but a squad player and should have stepped up to the mark today. It just goes to show that these squad players are not good enough now and must be replaced in the summer with better. they all had an opportunity today to impress and the majority never and that must be noted....we dont know for certain yet who will be moving on in the summer and its clear that there is nobody to take their place. Laudrup will need to get his scouts working hard for the rest of the season looking for replacements that we will definitely need
