Fair enough, but to me it was like a breath of fresh air compared to the dross that went before. For the first time in years the club was moving in the right direction.
Totally agree LiE - McAllister and Strachan in midfield brought the experience and creativity to fire everyone up. Rest of the team built around them, everyone pulled their weight and the whole was much better than the sum of the parts. Even Chapman looked like a player at times. Plus Speed coming through the ranks, Whyte and Fairclough at the back - it was a great time, but the previous years under Gray and Bremner were barren, much more barren than now (but great fun)
That was the massive difference, not just in the quality they brought but could you imagine ANYONE at that time daring not to pull his weight with Strachan on the pitch, they wouldn't need a half time team talk with the manager, they would have felt Strachans tongue long before that.
You two need a break.
If you think any of us get any enjoyment in sticking in the knife as you call it, you're ****ing deluded. Spent the morning watching snippets of when we were great with kewells and viduka and it's damn hard to watch this mismatch two hours later. Perhaps you'd like to enlighten us with a few of your positive gems
EIRE You were NEVER great Your don't even support Leeds ...
A model to build the team - good quality creative and goal scoring midfield, balanced by defensive qualities and wing like play (Speed, Batty, Macca, Strachs). Support with excellent youth acadamy to bring players through. Purchase quality to fill other areas. Invest cash short term to get us up, in parallel get youth acadamy firing away and stabilise squad with cash from new premiership deal 2013-2016. Never let Everton, Spurs, Chelski, Scum etc pic up our talent. Invest in local schemes to get kids supporting Leeds.

Why don't I support Leeds? You don't know me, my history or anything about me. Why would a hull fan or whatever feel the need to pretend they do? Saddo
Warnock proved today that he's utterly inept tactically It's been proven time and again, whether its Ajax Everton or Southampton the video evidence is there for all to see. The way to play City is to get as tight as possible, get right in their faces and crowd out the space between Silva and the front men Leeds simply allowed us the space to play our game and that was criminal in my opinion He just stood there in his technical area like a numpty Leeds fans were a credit, never gave up on them and as you say marched on together Premier league support but not matched by what they see on the pitch Hope your fortunes turn around, the premier league would be a better league with Leeds in it
Pity you didn't post earlier, you could have saved a lot of arguing over past eight pages. Summed the day up pretty well
There was 40k city fans at it. How can 40k fans in same place make so little noise. Awfull effort but typical of pl
Have to agree with that. Although they did not play at full intensity, when they turned it on we could not handle it. While embarrassed would be too strong, we did not seem to play with much spark. We have played better but have also played much worse and the much worse has been more frequent.
His win rate at Leeds is at 38.9% vs his career average of 40.5% and best of 43.06%. It's a tough job mind with the all the crap behind the scenes at Leeds. And our lowest win rates since the financial troubles of the 2002 - 2003 seasons. All things said great fans who take the rough with the smooth, bit like City used to and Newcastle do for the size of club comparisons.
Eire don't have a pop at him, he sympathises with our predicament And to be fair, the home fans didn't have too much to get excited about - it was too easy for them
Game was pretty much over as a contest after the penalty Place can be bouncing when the rags,Chelsea, arsenal etc are playing but like most grounds can also be very flat I doubt elland rd is rocking every week
We never looked like scoring, that's worrying to me. Too slow getting forward and out of ideas, the same problems we had at the start of the season, warnocks had two loan windows and the January window to get it sorted and has failed. Time to go.
