Forget this match, take this season in general - This is the worst Leeds team I have seen in several years in quality and style of play. Zero quality, full of mainly ageing players and nothing for me to get excited about for the rest of this season or even next at the moment. Without serious investment in players and a manager who doesn't live in the past this is as good as it gets. You might get a glimpse of hope because they string two passes together but it is short lived. You might get a smile from a good tackle but it will be followed by a glaring mistake. Forget half full or half empty, fact is we are average at best we have a manager who constantly plays players out of position and no money
He has been one of the poorer refs this season for sure. He doesn't favour the big teams but does appear to let home teams get away with more than their opponents. He totally ruined our away game at West Ham at Christmas by giving West Ham everything and us absolutely nothing.
Shame about the penalty because the longer it had stayed 1-0 in the second half the more pressure they would have been under to put it to bed.
There appears to be very little for you to come across as being content with what you are watching with this Leeds team. Having watched Leeds for many years I have to say this is one of the worst squads I think we have ever had and on top of that we have a manager who simply doesn't see the game as most of us do, hence no width and players with little technical ability. Feel confident as you like, but you are very much on your own.
I would love to agree with you, as a neutral I want to see a good, well contested game. However, Man City have lots of gear to go through should they choose to do so. They are barely out of first gear since the penalty and in fairness they don't need to do anymore as it stands.
We have not disgraced ourselves in the first half, shame about the pen. Otherwise we'd still be in the game
It is simply that Man City have taken their foot off the pedal and no doubt will be fully back on it at the start of the 2nd half. We don't have anyone or anything more to give to the game, so we can only hope Man City just fall apart.
Who remembers Keown being belted by the ball when commentating on Leeds - Arsenal a few years back. TAhink it was Brown that struck the ball
LOL Leeds fans singing "Were nothing special, we lose every week" Someone beat me to the assumption that Man City haven't got out of first gear yet, I did think the same but hoped maybe it wouldn't get any worse, this sadly has 6-0 all over it Something happened at half time as heard him or Macca swear just before the picture came back on
It might not be a bad thing to get a hiding from City. At least it would prove just how far away we are from competing at the highest level. Afternoon san-ho-zay, Dublin, Mavroz and Co.....
