when Brucie first came in he spoke quite frequently about how we needed a good spine to the side, the foundation for making us into a good side.

With the acqusitions of Mensah, Turner, Cana, Cattermole and Bent Brucie got to work straight away but it seems as though he has forgot all about this. Since then we have sold Cana and Bent without replacing them, Mensah looks on his way and Cattermole and Turner seem to be injured everyother week.

Does Brucie need to add abit more grit and players with a never say die attitude aswell as a ruthless attitudes, we roll over far to easy but they obviously have to be good enough. You hear everynow and again people talking about a team of leaders and more than 1 captain on the pitch we don't even have 1.

Players like Chris Samba, Scotty Parker etc.

I think that you should try for Scotty Parker. I know that he will probably go to Spurs but you never know.

I really don't know, but I bloody hope that it's not Carlton Cole!!!!

I would expect a couple of little-known young prospects to be signed from abroad, only one recognised Premiership player and maybe someone young from the lower leagues.

Although Pardew will have some money to spend on players, it won't be the £35 million that everyone harps on about. Some of that has to be used for wages etc. so I reckon Pardew has between £15-20 million, so he will have to be a bit canny.

Samba's our's as well. Find your own fake transfer targets, we've been after Samba since before we left 606. <grr>

I think that Little Christine is getting all unneccesary because he is worried that you lot may have to face 2 Ameobis next season. You just know that they will be utter rubbish against the rest of the league but will be transformed into goal-machines for the derby matches.

Our spine is now spineless! I would love Samba, reckopn Vaughn would be a decent free signing, I would have a go at getting Palacios from Spurs or Carl Henry from Wolves( if Catts cannot get fit). Stick big Demba Ba upfront with Bothroyd on the Bench and we'd start to look like we're getting a spine back to full strength. Scott Parker I'm afraid is out of our league, unless we pay him more than anyone else and I can't see that happening.
