There's a thread running on the Hammers Board at the moment and "Bzzz" posted a table at the bottom of the page that shows West Ham having only 20 points from 29 games yet they still survived. Okay they had Carlos Tevez playing for them but at the time they would have thought they were doomed just like a lot of us do now. Football's a funny old game after all: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/196207-Arry-to-the-Ammers?p=4293595#post4293595
The same teenager that's been rating all the threads. You've been found out Cerny. Does your Mum know you're up this late? So Grift, what do you think of that table? They say they don't lie. 20 points after 29 games yet they stayed up. Do you think we can pull off a similar miracle?
We have Remy (like a new signing) and a team full of players yet to show their true potential - yes we can.
we CAN do this We WILL do this dare i say...Keep the faith brothers....we are gonna cause a few upsets soon...(Man Utd excluded!) WE ARE LOFTUS ROAD, WE ARE LONDON, WE ARE QPR....FOLLOW US OR GET LOST IN THE COMOTION HAVE SOME FAITH GUYS & GIRLZ......
Of course it's possible, we see late surges, complete turnarounds, collapses etc in football all the time. A huge factor will be the positive and hostile support generated at LR.
Yes, anything out of Man Utd would be a bonus, but after that we definitely need wins and three pointers. After the abysmal Swansea game, the two week break has been awful. Just hope 'Arry has perfected our game plan for the run in.
I think it's highly unlikely that we can stay up, but it's obviously quite, quite possible. We've had a really tough run of fixtures, Norwich aside, so we really do have a lot of winnable games appearing on the horizon. However, we're almost certainly going to lose against Utd, possibly badly and that will have the effect of draining yet more confidence out of the players and fans alike. Mind you, after the Utd game, if we could just put a couple of wins together on the bounce, resulting in a closing of the gap, then the collective upsurge in confidence could make survival all the more possible. I've not given up hope yet!
If we can't pick up more than than scraps from these remaining fixtures, we really don't deserve to be in this division. As opposed to our gritty 0-0 draws, winning games requires scoring goals, which has been our achilles heel all season and should have been sorted out in the last transfer window.

Still 33 points to play for excluding the Utd game.....we could go on an unbeaten 11 game run.....who knows.....we have to live and hope
