    Well **** me with a rusty coat-hanger.

Long have i been told that the cost of watching football in England is a piss take, and long have i agreed to an extent that some fans are being priced out of the game.

Well, i'm in Malaga Friday and Saturday to finalize some bits and bobs with the new chez, and to arrange for a car to be delivered for the 5th of June when we get there (cars are bastard expensive in Spain, BTW)

Anyway, noting that Malaga CF where at home to Barcelona, and knowing that my mrs ain't gonna be there, i took the liberty of snaffling tickets for the game, which i'm really looking forward to, see what it's all about over there.

    135 euro per seat.

4 times the price of a ticket at the SOL.

    Cheeky Spanish ****ers.

    That is all.

I'm trying to find out the cost mate, i guess a season ticket is cheap, but if you don't get one you get arse raped for the big games.

270 euro is ok as a one of, but there's no way i'd be shelling that fortnightly.

I need to pick a club and stick to it, my choices are Malaga CF, Almeria, Granada, or Sevilla or Betis (160 mile round trip for these though!).

Behind the goal at Barcelona costs about 20 euros depending on what section you're in

    Ha ha, nice one ;)

That would be a BMW 330cl Syd, not that i'm gonna be a cliche of a Brit on the Costas or owt... <whistle>

It does, i've been you-tubing Malaga fans, and they seem a rowdy bunch, apparently there's stacks of ex-pats at the games, so i'll probs get little home (match) from home (match) going on, ideal <ok>

A few friends live in Spain and they were amazed at how well supported the smaller local teams are in the lower divisions.

Take a Spanish club in a similar vein to Crawley FC for example. They were pulling in 3,500/4000 per home game for a team that had nothing special about them.

Fraction of the costs to watch.

Yes mate, home and away, that's a big bonus, i'll probs make 1 home game a month.

Yeah i'm looking into it as we speak mate, Granada have some potential i think, there's Marbella themselves but they are way down the leagues, i want it to be of a reasonable standard.

Was stunned at the cost for Saturday mind, although it is Barcelona i suppose, and mabe the 'cheap seats' have sold out.

I guess the bigger crowds for smaller teams are due to population, a lot of the smaller towns still have 300,ooo heads!

    Seriously? ****ing hell!

I'm paying 19,000euro for a 3 year old 330, it would have been about 15k here.

Similar price new, but second hand values are higher.

that's why everyones's got pick ups or if it's a car, honda or toyota, cos they're made here.

any import or pretige car costs a mint.

a mini will knock you back £60,000

    Holy ****!

Surely there's money to be made importing cars then?

Or do they add it on 'at port'?
