Today would have been a bonus,if we had gained a point or three However moving on to next week,we need four points from these two games, three points a must against Barnsley at home and a point at palace. We have to go to palace and believe, and hope we can get something there.
Why can't anybody say, " SoD got it wrong", simple, if you ain't got the ingredients don't make a pie......
He did get it wrong today, he tried to play defensive against a team that would make you pay. Even Sparky warned us during the week if we play like this they would win. What we done to them at AG (i know sone will say we was lucky as they were not on form ) and what Petersborough did was attack them straight away. We played a game we can't play and that's defensive!
We should be playing to our strengths, attack is our best way to go. Lets the opposition worry about our strengths. Best form of defence is attack. We must not sit back,we are not strong enough for that. Loius will be back next week, that will be a massive boost.
We simply had it all wrong today, except for the last 15 minutes, SOD's fault, just a comment, not being argumentative....
We would like 6 points and I think we might just get them as Palarse apart from yesterday and the local derby match seem to have gone off the boil same as Middlesbro, have lost 6/7 isn't it? not sure what Palarses form is but they seemed to have slipped somewhat in the table and the London papers arn't too impressed with their recent performances.
If you really think about it we were soundly beaten yesterday and the odds of us getting any points at Palace, based on yesterday's performance, is virtually non-existent. The game against Barnsley is so critical, especially if we fail at Palace, and I'm not sure we are up to the task particularly after 2 potential defeats in a row. Our time is running out quicker than we like to think and if we are unable to put out our strongest team for every game then we will sink faster than a stone. It hurts me to say that even our best squad, which would include stronger players in most positions, is still not capable of competing in this division. When I look back to all the bad decisions made on behalf of Bristol City over the last 4 to 5 years I am forced to say that we are exactly where we deserve to be, sadly. Ignoring the blatantly obvious always comes back to haunt you and that is why we are where we are now. Could have been prevented without throwing away the bank balance but nobody could see the writing on the dressing room door. I hate making predictions but I trully believe that if we come out of next 3 games with anything less than 6 points then our season will be almost be over and the drop won't be a possibilty anymore it will be a virtual certainty. Only a major improvement in our form can even stand a chance of changing our future. One of my previous threads asked whether you think that we have enough quality players on staff and my answer to myself is a definite NO!

..............lol, word association we were beaten, not soundly beaten every few games even the worst ones have a goal that that is defence blameless as was their first, and from a striker from the prem that is on fire...a super goal and "lucky" goal... Most good teams have that 1 outstanding player, at the moment we do not..best we can offer is Albert... ...I think he had doubts about the fitness of some of the players leading into team selection? not totally been up to speed this week, but did partly hear his comments broadcast at half time on RB he didnt (couldnt/wouldnt ) risk a different line up?..
Campbell on fire with 3 goals in 3 games this year. Compare that to last season yeah he got the same so far for Cardiff as he did all last season. I don't think you can call that on fire! He could go on to be prolific for them but they dominated all over the pitch. They were up for it we were afraid of them simple as that we tried to play on the break football and allowed them the space to attack us. We beat them earlier because we went out with the attitude ala Keegan you can score but we will score more than you. We tried to remedy the defensive side of our game and the wheels fell off when we were at a stage when teams looked afraid of us. We are crap at defending but good going forward lets play to our strengths and let other teams worry about us for once.
Campbell is a finisher - put him in a team which is playing well and he will get a lot of goals - I didn't think that anyone could forget Hull...
Don't forget we need four points minimum this week, comon city you can do it. No messing about we need the points
