I can see it going to the final game for 2nd place between us, Leicester, Palace and Watford. 7 wins might do it but I can see us needing another win to get there. Plenty of winnable fixtures in the games we have left, though that is easier said than done in this league. I think Blackburn are a team to watch at the moment, though I can't see them sneaking in between the 4 of us to get the final auto spot. They'd be a good bet for the play offs though should they get there.

Everyone is looking what the average 2nd placed team has achieved. We don't need to aim for that. We need to aim for 1 point more than what the average 3rd team has finished with.
I think we'll need one more point than Leicester and Watford, as I can't see Cardiff slipping up now. It's just impossible to tell how many points we need. Watford and Leicester could lose all their remaining games and we're already there, or they could win them all and we're in the playoffs. Long as we keep winning, the rest is in the lap of the gods.
Cardiff are going well and sneaking results but you never know 8pts is a good head start but if they lose and we won suddenly 5 points seems catchable. At this moment in time if Cardiff do keep winning it could be any of 4/5 teams for that second spot
This completely. We obviously can't predict what will happen so this is all pointless. Most ridiculous post of the thread goes to the guy who said we'll need x amount of points because of the quality in this division. How the **** does the quality mean we will need more points? Even if every team in this league is better than Barca there will still be teams losing matches and it will still be just 3 points for a win.
What would be great is the need for a win in the last game and Cardiff let us win so we can both party while Nigel sulks
So, Bruce says we need 7 wins, which would alone give us 80 points, with other results looking at giving us about 83-85 points. I think his and the teams' actual aim will be 90 points.
