Well that takes us three points closer to safety. Chopra scoring will give him a bit of confidence and I'm happy that Nouble got more minutes, one for the future I hope.
Happy tractor boy today :)

Good result, solid at the back, need to be a bit more creative, but i'd take another 5 of those this season!! Still think we can stay solid but be more creative by changing the personel around abit!!

would like to see Chopra and Nouble given a go upfront because I don't really see McGoldrick or McLean being overly effective for us!!

Chopra's goal was Couñagoesque!

Good run, no pressure one on one with the keeper. Boof! Eat my goal!

Hyam was a well deserved MOTM and I thought Tommy Smith played well too.

Tom Ince was my worry when he came on; especially when our players kept giving him the ball, but he was ultimately ineffectual.

GTF looked less dangerous than I expected, but that may have just been the grey hair...

Overall it was a well fought win. It could have been a different story if Blackpool hadn't hit the post and then missed two open goals.

Well done Town. Keep up the good work. And keep Chopra focussed on the game.

Porquois, l'homme de cidre?

He was on fire today! Not literally. That would be hideous. But he played well.

Who was your MOTM?

You could honestly say that nobody deserved motm.

The only salvation was Sir Issac Newtons theory.

Wordsworth in hospital tonight, hope he's back soon.

Results are more important than performances for the rest of the season. I will breathe a sigh of relief when we have another 15 points on the board.

Hyam was MOM for me as well, did all the bits n pieces very well, constantly disrupting their midfield etc...

Shocking first half. Hyam the only decent player – if he hadn’t broken up various attacks we’d have almost certainly been down at half time. Had to feel sorry for Wordy – apart from somehow landing on his kidney Hendo kept hoofing goal kicks down the left leaving him or Cressy to try and win headers against their great, clodhopping defenders. Are they just programmed to assume Murphy is always there or something?

Good to see we’re displaying more defensive backbone and organisation, but going forward we were absolutely shocking. McGoldrick was almost able to fashion the odd chance by himself, and am I the only one to have been impressed with Nouble once he was on??

Nice break and finish by Chops though!

We’ll need to be 100% better than that against Watford. After that I struggle to see anything apart from defeat against them.

Agree JJ about Nouble, I was one of those who wasn't overly impressed when we got him but everytime I've seen him I've been impressed, he looks like he's got many strings to his bow!! Would like to see him given a start. Looks like he could be the sort of striker that would be able to play upfront on his own effectively aswell, IMO he would've been ideal to have in our 451 system last season, big strong and mobile.

I have to say I don't think we're going to get anywhere with McGoldrick and McLean upfront, i think McLean has alot of endevour but has little quality!! McGoldrick whilst I think he looks a very decent footballer, decent on the ball and a good ball carrier he reminds me of Stead in that I'm not overly sure what he actually brings to the team.

He's not a goalscorer as he doesn't take up those type of positions ala Chopra and he's not the kind of striker to lead the line or a target man ala Lee and he's not a in the hole striker who creates alot ala Counago/JET. I'm not overly sure where he fits into the team because if you play him with say Chopra for me this means we lack a physical presence upfront and also lack someone to attack crosses in the box but if you play him with someone like Murphy you haven't got a goalscorer, or someone to play on the shoulder of the last defender making those sort of runs.

Like I say I think he's a good player but not really sure much like Stead that he can form a balanced forward line. Sometimes I think you can have lesser players in a team because it makes it more balanced and currently I'd say Murphy and Chopra is our best/most balanced strike force atm!!

Mick said it wouldnt be pretty and he certainly got that bit right, in fact it was the ugliest 3 points ive ever seen. We could easily have conceded 4 but for a change any luck that was going went our way.
Now how many of you are coming to Huddersfield?
