Are you a Leicester fan or something? Everyone has said that Fathi played well. After this and your Meyler comment perhaps you should stop trying to troll people.
Wow, you must be wearing my glasses, I said exactly that to all around me. 1. Gedo 2. Brady 3. Meyler
I'm not sure what people saw in Fathy today that made people feel he played well, he was second to every ball, weak in tackles and out muscled and headed constantly. He linked up well with some of the play and looked good going forward but in what I saw today I don't really rate him as a defensive holding midfielder.
Gedo Elmo Stockdale Thought meyler was technically quite poor, have the ball away a lot and lacked cool and composure when in possession, but he more than made up for it with his desire and hard work, up and down the pitch like a yoyo he was, a constant thorn in charltons arse when we had the ball and made it very difficult for them when they had it, even in the last minute of injury time. Just my take on him today. Also wasn't impressed with Fathi but he looked well off the pace, he needs more time before we see what he can do properly and should save judgement til then.
Suppose a goal scores gotta be top so Gedo. Meyler was excellent as was Elmo. So that's my top 3. No ones mentioned Alex Bruce thought he was really good. We struggled when he moved out of CM. far better in there than Evans. Hobbs and chezzy played well but they have to do more from our corners, they need to add a few goals to their game.
Exactly this, well put He wasn't just physically 2nd best but his thinking was always a step behind. Just going to take him a week or two to get up to speed and into the swing of the English game.
Agree it was abigcall by SB to pitch him straight in at CM, shows how **** Evans is for him to do it tho. They'll be crying into their pillows on amber nectar
Fathi is better as a CMF or in his best postion as a RB or RWB if you really want to use him well but playing him in the DMF postion will not show anything of his qualities also he isn't good in the air he played in sheffield as DMF and this is why he didn't do well there
I agree with CharlieFletch. Meyler shouldn't be anywhere near anybody's top-3. He was useless. He only looked good because his midfield partner, Bruce Junior, was the worst player on the pitch Hobbs, Elmo, Gedo and Stockdale were all far, far better
Stockdale Gedo Bruce Aside from a few flashy shots Meyler was struggling today. His first touch was all over the place and simple passes were missing their mark. I wasn't happy when i saw Bruce was starting but he played both his roles well today. Simpson was the big disappointment again, apart from one clever ball to Elmo on a counter attack he did absolutely nothing. Fathi looked promising and i think he'll be excellent when he's up to speed. I'm not sure that's happened to Evans but he's dropped down the pecking order very quickly, i'd have rather brought him on than Cairney at the end.
I'm sure Simpson would have got a goal today if Quinn would pass instead of going for glory himself. Simpson had caught a centerback out of position, he was in so much space at the edge of the box, Quinn was running with the ball on the counter attack, looked up and saw Simpson in so much space screaming for the ball, kept running and running and running until he ran into a defender and gave the ball away for nowt. Simpson would have been 1 on 1 with all the time in the world to do what he liked, there's no wonder he's not scoring if no one wants to play him in. That is the sole reason Quinn never made my top 3.
Every player gives the ball away at some part of the game and Meyler was not lazy. Just out of interest who do you think played well then?
