Never even considered Across The Bay. Just looked at his form and find he beat Cappa Bleu by 28l, was beaten 12½L by Big Buck's on levels, and beaten 9¼L by Dynaste in receipt of 6lbs.
Best to avoid Rigadin De Beauchene in the Haydock GN trial ....... he's carrying more than 10 stone 5 .. he has my ew groats to contend with! I'd love Silver By Nature to run well Ron: I looked at it, but ignored it, as I'm no fan of "dual purpose" horses - especially seasoned chasers going back to timber.
Somersby for me in the big race today. Loves it round Ascot, had a nice reappearance in the Celebration chase behind Sprinter Sacre and will be all the better for that.
Im worried now have Rockey creek...Zarkander...Captain chris in a treble hope you not put mockers on them Also had big bet on Cloudy lane know hes old like me but has class on his side
Who's got Vino Griego, Well Refreshed and Whitby Jack in trebles? The odds of Whitby Jack are bound to shorten up now!
And just to compound that I have Zarkandar in my multiples too But looking for positives - I've just had a second - it must be the Carlsberg - I'd better have another! And to cheer you up more, I'm on Somersby, not Captain Chris
So Young Needed that one to go in. Really fancied that upset there. So Young now 4 from 4 in 2m races- we forget that he was an unlucky 3rd (and favourite) for the 2011 Neptune won by First Lieutenant and ROCK ON RUBY 2nd. Seems to be very good on soft/heavy though so not sure I could fancy him at Cheltenham.
Strange old race that. Bear Trap never in it, Whitby Jack faded after looking good and a 33-1 winner. Good run from Sadlers Risk though - well done ew players
Competent enough from Zarkander. Don't think there is anything to learn from that. Hope for better ground at Chelts if you are a supporter (I am)
Good old Cue Card! Finished with great gusto. Even if Captain Chris had not made that bad blunder at the second last, don't think he would have beaten Cue Card, but we'll never know.........
