Just what I was thinking. When people said he was a giant of the game, I thought they were talking metaphorically!
A beautiful video on his career and his life, for some reason it brought me to tears towards the end. it's a Shame i wasn't even born during his days at the club. At least I could proudly say he belongs to my beloved club.
I LOVED Sir Bob. a true gentleman of the game. no screaming and shouting, no "look at me" posing, just a nice man who was a genius at football. forever missed...
fantastic manager and one of the best behind shanks.....this is the time liverpool never looked outside for managers and promoted within.....its gone a bit pear shape since someone decided to look outside for a manager sadly...
"The whole of my life, what the Kop wanted was honesty. They were not concerned with cultured football, but with triers who gave one hundred per cent."
Personally, I rate Sir Bob above Shankly, and if you think about it, it had started to go pear shaped before we started looking outside the club (Morgan Souness & Evans were all before Houllier)
No tears but pretty damn close for me too! Fantastic bloke that came through all throughout this incredible video. His managerial achievemnets were fantastic; you can see how much the players loved and respected him. The best bit for me was seeing him with his grandkids; they say that you should always judge a man by how he is around his family, and he looked like a complete legend with them! It was funny to see him sipping his cuppa in the finest china, looked like a little kid, true great of football!!!!!!
