So pleased you brought this up!

Has anyone seen "Vanishing on 7th Street"? Released last year I think. If anyone has seen it, can they tell me what the hell it was about! I thought it to be perhaps the worst movie I have seen in years.

    Maestro

I was thinking something along these lines but in competition form. Have a clip from a series of movies for everyone to guess what movie each clip is from, dating back to the 50's to the present date. What ya fink mate?

The best I have seen in recent months is probably "Man on a ledge" and "In Time"

I liked the idea of "In Time" where time is the currency in place of cash.

Saw 'Cloud Atlas' the other night. Complete tosh. If anyone can explain what the hell that 3 hours was all about I would be grateful.

After 7 months of complete tosh I would have thought 3 hours would have been quite easy to digest :emoticon-0102-bigsm
    Sorry, couldn't resist

If you are looking for a DVD to make you laugh solidly for a couple of hours can I recommend "Pheonix Nights". Along similar lines ITV (for once) have a top comedy on tonight called "Great Night Out" based on a group of Stockport fans.

A couple of films I've seen recently :-
The Kite Runner , superb, moving, a tough watch at times, but gives a good perspective of the realities of Afghanistan
Big Fish , didn't really "get" it. Tim Burton can be a bit off the wall but I didn't warm to either the father(the older version) or the son. It just seemed a bit pointless overall.

The Taken classic pissed off Dad going medieval at a load of Albanian gangsters if you like the first one you'll find the The Taken 2 disappointing well I did anyway.

One film which gets my recommendation is a cop film called Narc it's highly underrated in my opinion.

Anything with Will Smith in, except Hancock. Hancock was awful!

Homeland and, oddly for me, Band of Brothers are good.

Will Smith and Damian Lewis are great actors!

    I liked Hancock.

Breaking Bad is brilliant and worth getting the boxsets.

After the recent furore about the Irish government admitting they were wrong - and refusing to apologise to the victims, may I suggest (for anyone not au fait with the Magdalene Laundries/Asylums) the film 'Magdalene Sisters'.
It's a biopic of three young girls who were forced into one of these workhouses, through no fault of their own, run by catholic nuns.
The worst thing about it is that the last of these laundries/prisons didn't close until 1996!
It's moving, tragic and disgusting, in equal measure.
