And here I'd hoped that he had embraced the destiny of his name, and became a director of soft-core pornography.
I watched Newcastle v Metalist, which was a bit like a League One game played on a decent pitch. Cisse had 2 perfectly good goals disallowed, but Newcastle really should have won comfortably. If they have a tough return game next week, and we play as well as we did against Man City we should be fine. They won't like us pressing them, they were giving away possession every few seconds tonight and were lucky Metalist didn't have much of an attacking threat. Yanga-Mbiwe and Gutierrez had good games and Sissoku was lively but they seemed very flat.
Actually the 2nd was just offside - so correct decision. No excuses for the first one though - that was a shocking call.
Oh wow, didn't realise Newcastle played in Ukraine three days before our game. I'll upgrade my draw prediction to a win. Alan P's argument about the offside - "The law says it should favour the striker". Hmm....
I remember it was said we'd tried to sign him, back in about 2002-03. He would have been a good addition back then.
