Glad to hear it PL! No space in life for being depressed about something like being single on Valentines day. Not enough hours in a day,... days in a year,.. years in our life for that nonsense. Any change in the situation with you and this young lass?

Nah, there's been no change thus far. Waiting a bit before I make my move as I don't want to make my move and her to say that she doesn't want a relationship atm. The only change really is now I'm no longer repressing my feelings for her which I've done since I found out she was in a relationship. Generally if I have feelings for someone's in a relationship, I would just ignore my feelings (which I'm quite good at) and I wouldn't overstep our friendship either. Now that she's single I can embrace my feelings for her, yay! <laugh>

Except for the days it's in March. :(

I went to the theatre yesterday. Bought the tickets last valentines day, so got two years worth of nonsense covered in one go. <diva>

Have you worked out how you're going to make your move when the time comes? I hear your a fan of asking if your intended date would like to be more than just friends over a McDonalds Coffee.

Damn March ruining things for February!
Wow that's forward planning! And in the fairness, Valentines day as an excuse to do something nice together like going to the theatre is good, its just all the flowers, chocolates, cuddly toy and even meals out which are pointless ****. Do it throughout the year because you love your partner, not on Valentines day because you're supposed to.

    Whatcha go see Qwert?

He should stand outside her window holding a ghetto blaster above his head like John Cusack in that 80s movie.

The young make this all harder than it is. It will never be the right time if she's not interested, similarly it will never be the wrong time if she is.

Phantom of the Opera at the Mayflower, I am woefully uncultured sadly but it seemed good and Mrs Q enjoyed it.

    Ahaha, yes something like that!

Ew no, I hate McDonalds, that was actually by text! I think I'll invite her out for drinks/dinner as we've done in the past, but this time there'll be subtle differences maybe (like me offering to pay the entire bill and more flirting maybe and, er, other things).

Ha, I've never actually listened to anything by them.

Surely less than two weeks after ending a 2 year relationship is definitely the wrong time?

Then again, from Facebook it certainly looks like she isn't moping at all. But if she was the one who dumped him then it's lot easier to move on. As Michael Stipe says, "It's easier to leave than to be left behind"

Oh strewth Fran Will the youngsters never learn?
PL Have mentioned before...if she tells you she does not want a relationship just now....she is telling you no..........simple as that. Just ask her out with a no strings offer just a drink and a chat... you are the only one that can spoil it. Respect her situation do not try and get into her knickers too soon, if she accepts and comes out. You will know when the time is right but not on that first outing show her you respect her and you are just not after one thing. How ever don't make it too serious just go out and enjoy yourselves and make her feel good about herself. Just don't pile it on like you are putting jam on toast. How worse off are you going to be if she says she doesn't want to go out? A little hurt pride maybe but that is the worse, now go out and get your quarry!!!!
