I'm not worried about the Bayern game for some reason. I think the conditions suit us. Underdogs going into a tie where most people (including our own fans) are writing us off. This is when Arsenal turn up and surprise people. I'm not predicting a win but I certainly don't think we will get trounced as some are predicting.
That's probably the only thing in our favour, I suppose. We have nothing to lose and all the pressure is on Bayern. Their defence might have only let in 7 goals in the Bundesliga, but in the six CL games they have played this season, they have let in six goals. So not as amazing in Europe.
OK, here's a realists opinion. Winners in bold if arrows aren't clear enough. Chez ('11) < Chez ('13) Koscielny ('11)> Koscielny ('13) Djourou ('11) > Mertesacker * Clichy > Verm (as a LB) Eboue > Sagna (Current form) Song < Arteta Nasri > Podolski Walclott ('11) <<<<<<<< Walcott ('13) Wilshere = Wilshere Fabregas >>>>> Cazorla Van Persie >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Giroud * Djourou and Clichy were in some serious form at the time, current Clichy is still probably a better LB than Verm is. Current Mert owns current Djourou, but 2011 Djourou was excellent
Such a shame we can't play Nacho man because he is that little piece that could make a difference to the puzzle (already) even though he has only been in the squad for a matter of weeks. I guess he is here to help us get top 4 but he would be perfect for the Bayern game.
As long as we don't embarrass ourselves im not really that bothered if we go out, i'd rather have a good run in the FA cup
Really and truly Bayern should have won it last year, they were the best team in Europe IMO (I know they didn't win their league but still). Bayern have conceded just ONE goal away from home all season. Bundesliga is stronger than the PL and that run includes Schalke who put 4 past you in the group stage. It's easy to see why Bayern are being praised. They have a fantastic midfield, brilliant full backs, 2 world class wingers and two very good CB's with the added incentive of Winning it due to last year and Heynckes last season. This is not to completely write Arsenal off. Arsenal possess genuine quality that can hurt Bayern, particularly Walcott, Wilshere and Cazorla. Make no mistake about it Bayern will be harder than any team you've faced at the Emirates in a long time, they won't switch off like Barca. Their level of concentration is second to none. Arsenal can do it but every player will have to be at his best and has to be flawless defensively, this means holding a line properly, no misplaced passes in final third of the pitch etc. if you play like you did first half against Liverpool it'll be over in 30 minutes. The tie. Arsenal do better when underdogs so hopefully they'll go for it.
Bundesliga is not stronger then the Prem. Look at Kagawa one of the best players in the Bundesliga but is **** in the Prem and in the CL.
If you make statements like then you're only going to drag yourself into an argument. Or is that what you want? You're a mod and you're flaming...
German league good just not as good as Prem more players struggle in the Prem then they do in the German league.
He can't score a simple tap in into an open goal with his weaker foot but then he goes and does that. What a strange player
Arsenal fan Gareth Bale's free kick was one of the best I've seen. But I've just seen a better goal from Umtite
To be fair that was another great free kick Bale is the difference between Spurs being a mid table team at the moment.
