Just settled in the press box at Riverside, so cold I could cry. Got my ipad open to watch Celtic/Juve when the discussion starts....no Diouf? No Barkley? What on earth is Colin doing? General consensus is that Leeds should sign Barkley to end of season, but it seems Colin is going to be stubborn and stick with "his" team. He apparently feels Norris has shown enough to not require Barkley. Can't comment on Diouf yet. Will see if I can sneak in tunnel at end and ask Colin what's happening. Juventus 1-0

Ever considered that Everton wouldn't release Barclay to the end of the season?

Leeds were mulling over whether or not to extend his deal is what I heard, so seems they were ok with him staying. If so, Colin missed a trick. I shouted at Colin if he was happy last nite after that rubbish, he said he trusts this team. So he didn't trust Becchio then?

They probably would, but certainly not to a club like Leeds United, who could never afford the agreed rate for such a player for the rest of the season.

Disagree, I think that most PL clubs would prefer the destination of Leeds United (except the scum) rather than most other clubs. The opportunity to play infront of bigger crowds (don't get em too much recently but still the odd game) and the pressure of playing for Leeds as well. And pair that with the facilities of the club I think it'd set em up better

I would say that is the reason. Everything going on with us is being dictated by no cash. At least most can now see it. Needs to be fixed somehow

Maybe ten years ago! Yeah, I do agree with what your saying Josh but weigh it up against getting a ball playing centre midfielder to go out on loan to gain that experience & he gets benched/stuck on the wing in a team playing hoofball rather then getting the ball down.

He will come back to Everton more like Peter Kay if he stayed any longer

    Yes bucks great pic :)

Barkley was too good for us to be honest but he did know it and the fancy tricks got boring especially when he couldnt put it in from 3 yards!!!!

Not a winger though, so maybe out of his comfort zone & trying to create some space? I dont know, you saw more of him than me which wasnt a lot either!

But imagine if Warnock got it right, played in the centre mid & he bossed it picking us up points we wouldnt or didnt have (in hindsight) and then we sent him back after a month! yes we would have more points on the board but the smoke screen would have been battered & everyone would be up in arms!

Got to feel for Barkley. He has now played for Shef Wed Leeds & Everton now, so I dont think he can go back out on loan & will have to play reserve football for Everton. I think

I do feel for the kid Warnock was wrong to take him on board and **** his chances up.

the lad could get chance in the prem if we hadn't have taken him

Warnock doesn't really give a **** about anything, its clear his mind is elsewhere and not focused on doing what's right for Leeds. We've heard all the excuses before, were doing exactly the same as the back end of last season, looking tired, out of ideas and getting punished for it. Its boring now, warnock needs to go. Simple as that. Everything that has happened to the team since the takeover has been warnocks decision and he's got it wrong time and time again
